Last night I couldn't get Origin to open or my Sims 2 game to run either. I uninstalled Origin then reinstalled it and was finally able to get my game running - but it keeps freezing on me.
I was there also, I was with a group that used SC4s I created and built the houses and community lots for. It was fun being involved. I made a lot of wall coverings, floorings and skintones. My name on the Sims2 website was ScholarLady.

Akl500 - Yes, you can put your old save files in the new game. I suggest only putting one in at a time just to be sure they are not corrupt. I have done this

It depends upon what style or architectural/era i am building my house for. Colonial. Adams Era, Craftsman - these call for symmetry at least on the "curb appeal" - modern, ecletic, 50s - these are better if not symmetrical

BTW - All of my Sims have skintones different from the normal 'human', most come from MTS which is in the description. Also they have maxis clothing and accessories which I have recolored using my original, seamless patterns.

I did delete the cache files, restarted my computer, etc. - Now I have origin open, tried left clicking on the sims 2 but can't rind repair game. - Just found it is listed in settings of the game - but it is grayed out. Should I uninstall and reinstall?
