Hello! Your best bet would be to save up for a MacBook Pro. I have the 13" and it runs well. The MacBook Air does not mean the requirements, and although it may run, it will not run well. Good luck! Simsocity
Hello there, You say you are on a laptop, so I'm just wanting to double check if you have "Laptop Mode" and/or "Retina Display" selected in your Game Options. If they are not selected, check them and hopefully it will help the game.
My Macbook's results: Macbook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2015) Processor: 2.7GHz Intel Core i5 Memory: 8GB Graphics: Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536MB Upgraded from OS X Yosemite. The Sims 4 Premium Edition, Get to Work, and Outdoor Retreat are currently installed on my laptop. Overall, with the update I have experienced…
What is your RAM? :) I think I know what laptop you have and if it's 8GB, you should be fine. The game won't be able to run on high/ultra graphics but you should be able to enjoy it running at about medium. Hope this helps!
Just hop into the game settings (top right corner) and there should be a tab for graphics. Hit that and you can adjust as desired and what suits your gaming style. Expansions will also work as well :)
I'm speaking from when they announced it. They announced it the 5th of August so if you say they release mid-November, that's almost 4 months. They've usually had 2 months (3 months on some EP) of time from when the announced it to when it was released. It's just unusual for them to take that long of time in between…
3 months... did you not read anything I said? The Sims usually releases games (other than the base game) in a small timeframe and not four and a half months after they announce it. It's different than other games, like you mentioned above that take years to release. You can't compare two different games and say, "Oh you…
I understand that other games may have had timeframes longer than the expansions announced for The Sims, but we are all used to them announcing games 2/3 months in advanced and not 1-2 years like other games you guys have said. The longest we've had to wait for a base game was of course a year, but expansions, stuff packs,…
That's what I'm saying! Why announce it 4 months ahead when you can get everyone hyped for it, like in a month and a half (like you said), to keep the excitement up? I agree with you....a month and a half to two months sounds like a great timeframe.
More than likely I think they had nothing else planned for Gamescom, so why not announce an Expansion Pack 4 months ahead to take up the place for it. Personally, I need more information and I feel that's what will keep the audience of the game informed. Give as little information as possible so they visit the…
Hello @drawinfinity89, Looking at your specs, they look absolutely amazing and above requirements for the game! Processor speed, memory, and graphics all look to be very good. You said you've tried fiddling with the graphics but haven't reached a good quality of game and performance, correct? From what I am seeing, I hope…
From dealing with Apple, to HP, to Acer, Asus, Dell, and everything in between....personally none of them are THE BEST at gaming but you have perks and pros/cons with every computer. I'm just going to say, between the Macbook Pro and Acer Espire, you're going to have much better luck with the Macbook. I've dealt with The…
Hi @Akeelney, As @BluebellFlora has said, it all comes down to the graphics and whether they're integrated or not. I have both a 27" iMac (late 2013) and a Macbook Pro Retina (early 2015) and both can play the game. I would recommend the desktop iMac for gaming, going more for the higher end Macs. These will show they have…
Hi there, Just a bit of forum advice from me to you, but it is not the best way to be asking people to gift you a game, especially one costing anywhere from $40-$60 dollars. It comes off as kind of rude and not many people can afford it, as you also say you cannot. Anyways, I would love to direct you to some Sims websites…
I've had fine quality and graphics with my Macbook Pro w/ Retina (early 2015) all at about medium/high settings. Nothing too glamorous but just enough for school and fun! I paid approximately $1700 for it from student discounts but it was the 256gb one just so I didn't run out of storage. The game loads SUPER quick and…
May I ask why you're going to purchase a Mac Pro? Are you going to be using it for video editing, making music, or editing photos? I'm just curious as it is an expensive computer system. Looking back at Mac Pro systems, you're not going to have great quality of your game until you hit the 2011/2012 Mac Pro systems. Just…
Hello again, Personally I have no experience on transferring from HDD to SSD or vice versa. I'm assuming you can and if you google around you'll find people with way more experience about it than I have. I've never transferred anything from my HDD to my SSD but it does backup my information to an SSD drive so I am assuming…
Howdy! Your specs are on the edge considering you have 4GB of RAM. That right there will limit the efficiency and quickness of running your game at higher settings. Graphics & Processor are okay, but because of the RAM, I wouldn't expect anything but low/medium settings.
Hello! At first glance your memory is 4 GB and that right there is a warning sign. It is recommended to have a system at 8 GB of RAM to make sure your game runs well. The processor is right at the minimum so it should play well at low settings. Your video card is also right on the one to make sure your game runs. My…
