Yes, that's another point- sims traits seem to have no effect on their personalities. Either I wish they would bring back the point system (not my favourite but better than the current system) or have more diverse traits with better interactions etc…

I definately agree with this, I think a pack with majority of small animals would've made this a bit better, however I still believe they should've been in Cats and Dogs

I honestly really respect that, I personally miss the small animals from TS3, I just feel like many simmers and myself wish it was included in the expansion pack. It's a lot of money now to have all animals :(
