Did you check out The 8th sister challenge? Some fun CAS Demo time waster

  • Yes, you are right. Having a carrier moving between households is the fastest way. I'd did that if I had only the royal house on that jeweller's customers list. But I have about 50 noble homes with a certain interest in getting their polite hands on those jewelries. I also imagine they already own a few sets, especially…
  • I just found that the latest patch made it possible to gift jewelry as "friendly gift". It was not possible prior to the patch. It makes it a lot easier to have a Jewel crafter "deliver" goods to customers. You can just pretend a shopping situation, not really needing the retail feature for this. Unless the restore action…
  • I got it on a previous sale, and I don't regret. I don't play the school or the trifty shop thing. And I don't use the Social Bunny either. None of those feature bother me to much. I get a popup asking whether I want to join the teen of the house to school, just like you get if you play any active career. No big deal. I…
  • The Queen has some fame, meaning the Jeweler can only "attempt conversation" - no gifting possible to sims with a higher level of fame. (edit- too hard to make them friends first...) I will try the chain gifting if needed. But regular gifting from inventory to inventory is not possible with jewelry. Edit: I just patched my…
  • If you own Get For Work you can have a retail store selling jewelry. Jewellers can sell their crafted stuff on Plopsy, but I have not yet seen any way to buy Jewelry on Plopsy. Jewellers can sell on he sales table, but there is no way to buy from it. When you can buy stuff from NPCs at the market, I think it is mainly…
  • I tried to place my photo booth pics onto the corkboard, but it won't stick. Did you use some bb cheat, or did I try the wrong board?
  • Interesting! I started out with just a "region", because I was not playing on a stately level. But as more worlds were added and my political system grew, I now find myself playing the Mazaloom kingdom, and the Empire of Snorthia and Sea kingdom :) Mazaloom is my main focus, involving most of the worlds (I refer to them as…
  • I think you are thinking way too much :) I don't see how EA could choose strategy at all. They had to fix a pack that was totally useless as the core feature was ruining games. We probably got two E-patches just because there were so many complaints. I doubt it has anything to do with "wanting to be liked" - they had no…
  • There is a patch out now, fixing many bugs including the distortion bug.
  • Thank you @rosemow . There's so many ways to benefit from this pack, especially with retail (now fixed, yay!) and with the spell crafters.
  • Finally I found time to let some chosen jewelers practice their gemology skills :) Minerva Charm and her daughter Gemma are not top skilled, but they are the best option if you want someone in Glimmerbrook to help you with some special features jewelry ;) In StrangerVille the eccentric Madam Maxim Sprucewood has take up on…
  • I mostly grow my trees indoor, but when outdoor it gives no info on what Season is the right season, so my understanding is that it grows all year.
  • I bought it. Noticed stuff packs are now 20% more expensive (not US). I like the content of the pack and had no problems, but then I did not yet allow any sim to actually wear the jewelry they crafted. So, I'm mostly exploring without really benefiting from what the pack is all about. Hopefully this distorting thing will…
  • I think you will need: - rare crystal - high Gemology skill - a suiting Mood while crafting it (Inspired or Focused?) - mark up prices on sales table - not sure if a certain cut shape might give a higher sale value
  • Did you try adding those items to her swimwear? Some clothes might not show jewelry, even if it's hard to tell visually. Especially CC can be based on an item that would not have shown jewelry at all. Try a swimming suit, or some mini sized EA top/bottom.
  • I did not check it lately, but in the past I recall I fixed a non owned retail store by having a (temporary) sim buy it, visit it and make adjustments to employees. As far as I remember it fixed my problem back then, might solve your problem.
  • I would like to know if someone playing CCSP does NOT get the distortion? Is it affecting 100% or is caused by something conflicting? If I knew that just 1 simmer does not have it, then I would not need to avoid playing the main feature of a pack - for the 2nd time in a row...
  • Got it, but it is not pulsating, so I could not care less. Will never click it, though, and I do not really see the point of having it because we all know when we want a new pack, and exactly where to find it without the cart button.
  • Thanks. I played a different house yesterday with no such problem. I'll check a couple other houses now to see if it is only this one house that is affected. I'll also try some of your other suggestions. cachethumb file was already deleted.
  • I played my game yesterday. To my surprise I ran into digging spots wherever my sim went. Can't recall fin ding crystals in Chestnut Ridge earlier, but now there were numerous. I should add that this is happening without installing the latest two patches, and without Crystal Creations SP either ;) My point is that there…
  • Do you play online or offline?
  • While I thougfht the start page of the game - before loading a specific save, was where to advertise DLC we don't own, I don't mind tha shopping cart symbol. But I strongly destest the pulsating! The little light on the calendar has been driving me nuts for years. Thank you, I do know where the calendar is. And no thank…
  • Ha! I did not think of that, and with tons of CC added to my game, I really should have noticed :) I guess the context will help us to tell the difference between the SP and custom content. But yes, there will probably be some quirky discussions :)
  • I think it would have helped if say the park lot was located closer to the funfair. Or, they could have a small lot in the center of the fun area, as an arrival point. Then we could modify it according to what packs we own. Walking from the park is ok with me, but it doesn't feel optimal.
  • You can cheat any plant to any growth state, so even if it gets revertet you can set it to "blooming". It might cost you oone harvest, though, so let's hope it won't happen. The cheat I think is available while pressing SHIFT and then right or left click the plant in question. I don't think it's mod related, but I can be…
  • Agree to this! I don't want all my sims to be gemologists. There must be a way for them to wear jewelry, too. I read that items can be gifted, but buying from a store or Plopsy woulds be way easier.
  • I have played several households, including organizing/playing on most residential lots in Tomarang. I had no trouble or corruption yet. I have only a few rental units (don't play them a lot), and focused very little on the landlord options. My understanding (I do not know for sure!) is that the corruption will be avoided…
  • I don't use global or regional trends, but I keep additional DNA info and preferences for each sim to know pretty well how they will dress. Sims that I play in some depth will get numerous outfits percategory based on this, but less played sims might just get their everyday outfit right, and might appear in clothes not…
  • I'm not really complaining because I think this pack offers a lot already. But - I really wish jewelry would also include brooches. I'm aware they might clip with some outfits (but so will necklaces as well), but I'd still want brooches and that I, the simmer, was to decide wheter it looks good or bad on a given outfit.…
