Did you check out The 8th sister challenge? Some fun CAS Demo time waster

  • I really can't see "hot" referring to the Calientes. In my game they are both elders by now, and their mum died from old age long ago. Their update would be of zero value to me, but perhaps even requested by other simmers... Just hoping the "hot" will be valuable to all simmers :)
  • These look great!!! For the first time in history I'm sorry that my game is packed with CC clutter. These kits contain so many things that I could make great use of. Wondering if my game might run more smoothly if I replace chosen CC with one or both kits... I'm totally into gardening, and although I'm rarely playing…
  • Oh, didn't know about the bird statue! I thought we'd make a dream chaser, but that might be something else, or ts3 even, I never tried to accomplish the feather challenge. Btw: Could it be that your pet would achieve the full collection faster with a certain trait? Isn't there a Prowler trait that speeds things up a bit?

  • Wow @Babykittyjade those pics looks great! Nice pics everyone, I enjoyed catching up with this thread. I'm in my vacation home with no game and hardly with a little internet every now and then.
  • Ha! Most of my sims have 2x3 bathrooms - or smaller even. Only when I built the royal palace the 2x3 felt a tad wrong. Even so, there exist a few tiny bathrooms there too, because I veeeeery rarely focus on whatever sims do in their bathroom, not even royals. (Practicing skills in front of he mirror might be the exception…
  • I had to pick one... :) I like the newborn improvements, they are so much better than before. So I normally keep them in their crib for a day or so, the very first meeting is always fun and exciting, so it's not true that I skip the newborns fully. I just play them as infants a little longer. I don't have the pack yet so…
  • I'm playing tons of households on rotation, so the simyear had to be long. I guess this would be different if I mainly played one house. I have 1 series of 4 seasns each 4 weeks = 1 sim year (28x4=112 simdays). I play with aging off, turning it back on for New Years Eve only, so I keep full control of their birthdays. Lots…
  • Anything between 0 and 5, I think. Not sure if anyone had 6 yet. I play on rotation, and every new year I throw a dice to decide who shall try for baby. I also have a fertility gene deciding who can try as Adult. If a couple is very career minded they might not try though, I'm letting a few of them have a word, too ;) Even…
  • I just started a new thread, but this actually fits perfectly with this thread instead :) Recently I realized that it's not smart placing the toilet stall in a residential house. In this case the building is a high school, Principal resides 2nd floor. On 3rd floor sleeps students, and in their common bathroom there are…
  • Paintings can be restocked like BB objects can. So, I guess books and other crafted stuff can, too. On retail stores that is. In my gallery that is in the kasbah center, paintings can be bought only once, and afterwards that piece of wall is empty. Cool to see when an exhibition is nearly sold out. So, like others…
  • Love this for a bookstore! I'm actually planning a media house including a bookstore, but never really came to building it. Never explored the copying of written books etc, sounds fun to keep all local works at one place. It could probably work in a similar way with paintings. Re gifting money - money transfers is my least…
  • Oh, she really gave it all! Suddenly she had not enough energy left for staying alive! Bless her!
  • Yup, it's an option. But I prefer the gallery to be a bit more posh than that. Vernissage with champagne and speeches seems a bit odd when using the street sale objects ;)
  • I like the gallery to be an event place, the changing exhibitions to be an activity all houses can access if they like to. I see this can be done even if it is a retail lot, or if the lot is owned by one sim, as long as it is a community lot. I have a gallery owned and run by a sim in another hood, but that mainly sells…
  • Oh, thanks a lot! I use UI Cheat for so many things but never learned all the possibilities, and I never tried to click that bar! This will be so useful and time saving not only for infants!
  • Well, the Casbah Gallery is also an At school, and the lot includes High Court as well as the parliament, LOL, so it can't be bought by a sim. Anyway, I run changing exhibitions there, so it would feel better if the gallery is a general place rather than owned by one artist. To have a sales exhibition there the artists…
  • Yea, I like Plopsy, but some paintings I'd like other sims to have in their homes. Selling them on Plopsy they get deleted, I think.
  • It's a regular community lot. No owner. But I might try this, exhibiting at an owned community lot just to see how it works :).
  • Ah thanks! We used to do that with any age years ago, but they removed the cheat. Glad it's back for infants! Also, I found that aging them in CAS is fine to, as I would do it before they lived a day of their life stage so toddler stage would be rather from start. I like the infats more tan I expected, they are so cute and…
  • I guess you could just shift-click him when you run into him, and then edit him in CAS.
  • Forgot to mention that my sims had twins. It was a bit hectic the following day when there was a lasting thunder storm - and they live in a haunted house. Mom, dad and both infants were super scared constantly.
  • If you start a new save, the original sims will all be there by default. Then you can save them to your library, don't even need to use the online gallery.
  • Thank all! I'll definitely try to play through the StrangerVille story at some point. It seems quite entertaining and a unique gem within this game. And also would be perfect for giving my sims more stories and fates. I love the world and have a few actively played households there (incl. my renamed Rossell, who are in…
  • I got rid of them because I never played them and needed their house desperately. I now realize I could just have made them homeless, but I guess the game will generate new infected NPCs.
  • Aha, I don't know anything about Mexican UFO business, but that would make more sense than President Theodor Roosevelt anyway, LOL. I often adjust premade's names anyway, and give them my own background story anyway, so no biggie. I also gave names to hoods years before EA decided to do so, resulting in many of my hoods…
  • I like the infants, they are good to play. I'm not a family player and I only have the patch yet, but I like how infants seem different, and not just because of their trait. Recent addition is "Intense", which suited the household (mother) perfectly, but it turns out he often sleeps on the floor without as much as a simple…
  • Oups - I just remembered my biggest dream feature not yet added, I'd like a way to have multiple lot categories per lot. Assigning a section of the build (room(s) or a full floor even, if that is the only way) to additional lot category. This would make it possible to run a decent mall or simply adding a functional café or…
