I found that I had to sign out and quit Origin on one machine before it would let me play on the other so.maybe don't let the old one be able to remember you and exit fully on each one on the EA app. too?
I think I might be the oldest still extant here! I'm over 80 now but don't play much these days, though I keep up the packs. I might find it an escape if I get moved to an old folks home! I was 47 when The Sims came out and bought all of them since.
So exhausted after making a new family and housing them that I saved the game and gave up. It's just something I'll toy with from time to time now after having played over 7000 hours. Their allocation of clothing types, formal, party etc., just doesn't go with my own ideas so I've got rid of those settings entirely!
No mods, no cc but this game is just so complicated now, to start up again, that's it's unplayable now for me. I just got the new pack and enjoyed looking and making a family but having given them a home I'm too tired to even start playing with them.
I have started a new game and got rid of every Sim included with the game. I have filled the first world with my own Sims, about 50 so far, all buying a Lottery ticket on the day. and STILL the Lottery winner was not one of my Sims. WHO ARE THEY? Story of my life! :'(
Grant Rodiek turned up as in charge of Sims 5 so I expect he knows what Simmers like. I got the feeling that Sims 2 was a favourite of his so, hopefully there'll be some reminders of that and the humour in it. It's going to be several years yet. The colour wheel is coming back with it but I do wish there'd be some way in…
I'm just too old to care anymore. If they'd produced a generations pack with more for elders a few years ago I might still be playing now but I open the game and there's nothing now that interests me. Too much of a mess, too overwhelming with all those worlds with Sims I don't want to play with either.
Haven't played Sims 4 for months, though get the latest additions just in case I want to play again. I definitely won't be moving on to a new game. I'll leave it to the kids.
Anybody using Origin and getting through to the Gallery should notice that the server they are using has only a few thousand using it when they do. I used to find about 75 thousand plus on there a few months ago and now I find only about 7 thousand there each time. EA/Maxis is already getting ready for Sims 5 and probably…
Lost interest. I'm now getting the feeling that the game is trying to control me, rather than me controlling it. I'll keep it on my laptop but am turning back to other things.
A new Windows update even refused me playing Sims 4. I found out why by clicking the Notifications at the extreme left of the Taskbar. It gave me the option to sanction Sims 4 through the firewall. Perhaps it did that to those having difficulty. If having problems with Windows 10, check System, Home, enter firewall in…
I haven't actually "played" with it for months. All this tampering with my Sims got me down. I only build houses in it when I do open it up now, rarely.
One problem I found with one of the latest Windows 10 updates was that I, surprisingly, had to allow Sims 4 through "permissions" again. It came up on the Notifications on the bottom left of the taskbar. I had to tick it to let it through. Maybe EA and Maxis have sorted it by now but that's what I leave here. It might have…
I wasn't asked for card details at all when I tried downloading at first try. Opening, saving and exiting the game worked for me, then found I could download. I never leave my card details on sites like Origin. I don't trust them. It's ok with supermarkets etc., which ask for verification via phone message, just in case.
I bought the game and book at full price in 2014 and don't mind a bit if it goes free now. The more supporters who play it the longer the longevity of the game it seems to me. I've already tried out the Desert Kit pack and have made a great little house for my Sims in the desert. It's a very nice pack. I like the new…
It took me a few attempts and told it couldn't download. I started up the game and was told I owned the kit (under kits list) and told to download it. I saved and exited my game and tried again and it downloaded ok then. Update: I've just opened my game again and the items are all there. I'm wondering if it is something to…
I'd like the Option to add Sims I made for previous games to be added to any new game I start. I could then have my 200 readymades available for housing immediately instead of the continual going to My Library saves and having to import them into CAS to replace CAS readymades.
I had a problem on Tuesday night and it seemed to be because Microsoft decided to download a load of updates to my Windows 10. I'd got the Origin packs greyed out when I tried to start it up. I let Microsoft do the update, which also included a Bios update, completed it and found Origin then worked for me. I don't know if…
I totally agree with wanting to extend to the very edges of the lots. Actually the best thing about garden fences is that you can keep everybody out that you don't want even to get in the garden at the very gates and that's including cats and dogs. Back garden and front gates make sure your Sims starts off in the right…
As someone who lives in the UK I hate the fact that there aren't any fences around houses in Lots. They are the first thing I change in EA's pre-builds, that's if I even use them. It's just an English thing I suppose but we fiercely protect to the very edges of our property, with fights over inches gained and lost to…
I've found all of them in my game just now. If you check the packs on the Origin site you can check to see if they are there. They are listed as a separate bonus pack and should be marked "unlocked"
I found a way around it. The bodyhair was generated after I chose to make a Teen child by using the top Genetic option in CAS. I'd got a boy Teen and didn't want that so changed him to a girl. The bodyhair came with the change so maybe that needs to be looked at as a bug? I had no problem when I went the usual way and made…
Further to my comment above...... I found that I had got the chest and body hair by using the Genetic option to make a Teen and then chose to make the Teen a girl after a boy appeared. The way round was to make an ordinary Teen girl and then choose to make the two adults her mum and dad. The grandparents therefore became…
Chest and stomach hair on newly made Teenage Sims. Yuk. No low tops, no crop tops (of which we have too many) can be used. We MUST be able to turn the option off.
I just want to get rid of bodyhair if I don't want it. My teenage Sim I've just made cannot wear any lower tops or crop tops because of full chest and stomach hair, I know I'm an older Simmer but surely girls don't have hair there these days?
I am very annoyed I cannot get rid of body hair on my teenage girl Sim. I used the genetics option to make a daughter for my Sim parents on making a new family and she cannot wear any crop tops due to ugly body hair on her chest and waist. I do not want body hair unless I specifically work at getting it when making Sims.…
