DaWaterRat sums it up nicely. The gameplay will be knitting focused, but we wanted to represent the theme of arts and crafts across the choices. The clothing vote included crocheted, embroidered, applique, bedazzled, etc items. When the object vote happens it will contain knittable objects, as well other crafted-style…
If the top votes had all been hats then this would have been the knitted hat pack :) I'm personally disappointed that 4, 8, and 18 didn't win as I really liked those. I had actually guessed 20 would be our top voted hat, but it was hat #12.
The female top that was swapped out was not knit. We decided on #80 for a couple of reasons, first and foremost being that it was the highest voted child asset that wasn't in the top 15. Secondly, while #80 was concepted to be a female top, the design is flexible and we can add variants to make it masculine, feminine, and…
We didn't want to offer only knitted items in the CAS vote, so in the spirit of the arts & crafts theme we tried to have other options that had potentially handmade crafty bits. #33 has embroidery, for example. The jeans (#49) have sequins/sparkles of some kind.
DISCLAIMER: Designs are still In Progress and could change during development. I wanted to share a little bit about the gameplay and the results with you all. The CAS items numbered in blue are the items we're currently planning to let you craft via the knitting skill. With the community voted Stuff Packs we try to respect…
The Create-A-Sim clothing vote for the Community Voted Stuff Pack has ended, but please keep watching this forum and The Sims social channels to be informed when the next vote for objects goes live in early March.
This is something we talked about before the survey went live, and it is unfortunately a limitation in how the survey software works. The alternative would have been to offer less choices, or to break the vote into more digestible chunks across multiple survey pages. Multiple pages isn't ideal because then we're getting…
I'd like to give some insight to the feedback on the shoe buckle. The concept phase for assets is pretty loose and creative. The idea is, primarily, to convey the over all look of the asset and explore some design elements. If you look at the angle the shoes were drawn at (which fits the “Sim template” we used for CAS for…
We will have more details about this in the weeks to come, but the plan is to have some craftable CAS clothing items, as well craftable objects that will be a part of the Knitting Skill. We will also have regular CAS clothing that is not related to knitting as some of the assets that won the vote are not made of knitted…
