So as it turns out, somehow along the line my old saves folder was moved somewhere else inside the screenshots.. whoops... But thank you guys so so much for helping me out- I now thoroughly know what to do if they ever disappear for real at some point (and if they didnt go missing from a strange misclick)

I checked the recycle bin and there was nothing there. I recently updated my computer (not to windows 10, one of those really small updates), though. I mean, all the screenshots of the families are still there, just not the families themselves.

My saves folder looks like this: Not too sure if that's what it's supposed to look like, but I had at least 10 saves before this happened.

Finally became a member! I hope this works.. The first thing I did with basements was make a bunker-type house, where there's a small entrance shed that leads into a large house underground. Can't wait for lockable doors- four floors up and two down would be great for apartments

Pre-teens. I always wind up aging up infants after about a day, and it's more fun for me to play a sim who can move around on their own. Plus, it just feels weird to me that sims go from ~7-8 yrs. old to ~16. It's a giant gap to me.

When my sim had triplets, one of them, when aged up, was angry about his siblings. The ones that were born alongside him. The other two were perfectly fine, and didn't get a moodlet. Same thing happened with another family, with twins. Though that might've been because there was a small gap between age-ups.

Just build a pool, get the sim to swim in it, then switch to build mode and add fences.
