So, to answer the question in your post, yes, I do get tired of games "babysitting" and limiting players. Now, that being said, your post is misleading about what the player complaint was. According to EA's notes: "Asking a Hates Children Sim to "Try for Baby" has no chance of success unless the Sim is dazed". Players…
Oops, sorry, that was the wrong link. Sandy does both TS3 and TS4. https://sims4.aroundthesims3.com/ Unfortunately, she doesn't appear to have her TS4 downloads separated by holiday, the way she does for TS3.
Yeah, I watched his overview and from what I can tell, it's basically one large lot that you can visit. You can't live there, but you can sort of simulate having an apartment by locking doors. The ghost town concern also sounds like a real possibility with the way TS4 works. IIRC, TS3 sort of tracked where your sims were…
I like TS2 genetics best. They're more true to life. That being said, I enjoy TS4 for what it is, and I still play all three games depending on what I'm in the mood for. Are you talking about sales? If so, considering how many times the TS4 base game has been free on Origin, that's definitely inflated their numbers.
This has been speculated by others, but at the end of the day, right now a color wheel is beyond modders' ability. It would have to be done by the game devs themselves.

I think part of the problem is stemming from David Sims' use of AdFly, meaning he makes money when people click the links. So not only is David Sims converting other creators' hair without their permission, he is profiting financially from it. To be fair, David Sims might have permission from some of the creators. We do…
TS4 unfortunately does a poor job of managing relationships. Both TS2 and TS3 were able to correctly recognize relationships like step-parents or cousins.
I've been playing for 3-4 sim weeks, and have received bills once. I'm definitely confused about the billing system. When they did arrive, they seemed to appear magically--I sat staring at the mailbox and never saw a mailperson come.
I'm loving the idea of a coffee shop as a public space. Coffee shops are sort of natural places for people to congregate and socialize, at least where I live.
I really find myself missing some of the TS2 and TS3 interactions when I play kids. Kicky bag, red hands, water balloon fights, tag, pillow fights... my poor kids don't have much to do that involves interaction with another human being. I was surprised there wasn't a game console, too. Even the TS2 base game had that. And…

For example, story progression when the base game was released was very buggy. The toggle in the settings panel didn't turn it off, and families were able to move out of…
The virus problem TSR had was in their ads, not in their downloads. I personally have gotten into the habit of using AdBlock at almost all websites I visit, including TSR. I've never had a problem getting a virus from an ad, either from TSR or another website. There were also some problems with some people who chose to…
