One can play games from Steam offline if they choose to hunt down the .exe files. I have had no issues using Steam and do enjoy some of the perks they provide. Origin has provided nothing
Overall: it is not a The Sims game, it is more of a Sims Social type. * Reduced creative features (color wheel, CaSt, terrain tools, CaW, restrictive building) over other versions. * Too cartoon-like (over-zealous animation, colors too primary and bright, objects are boxy and lack definition...) * Immature (toilet humour,…
There is a restore point on Windows that can be activated to create a point before the download/software install. This is Not system restore it is a restore point. What it does is create a point where one can effectively remove the changes an installation service may create if it turns out badly. I use it often to create…
If an update causes your TS3 to be unplayable, can you not uninstall the update? My system always runs a backup before installing any software, I can revert by evoking the backup/restore point. (Unless it is one of the many forced updates on Origin. If all your TS3 or Digital copies, there may be no hope for it.)
The approach is strange, but the actual process is the same as was done is school decades passing. We used to call it barrowing to round to tens. (26 + 17 = 43) They process barrows 4 units from 17 to make 26 a "ten" number 30. Then they add the balance of the 17 (which is 13) to the 30. So instead of the child having to…
"If you don't find the game fun, why are you here" --- because this website is for all The Sims versions not just TS4. "If you don't like the negative conotions of this thread, why read it?" --- good question. If one is offended by the negativity, they should not have to read it.
Just wanted to point out here that that statement was retracted immediately after it was posted. The Maxis employee explained that he was only frustrated because commenters were asking about TS5 the very day that TS4 went live. That quote has been misused ever since.
If the Sims 4 is supposed to be new and unique, Maxis should have called it a new and unique name rather than THS SIMS #. Basically, it is the same reasons people call about their delivered pizza being poorly cooked even though they have not intentions of returning to the store for an exchange: They do not want it to…
They gather data then sell databases of demographics to companies who use the information to target certain consumers. The databases sell for various amounts depending on the demand: from a couple hundred to several thousand. The more information they database has the more the information will cost. Most demographic…
'Fantasize' is all this sight allows. On other sites, which Maxis cannot control, there is much more going on to encourage other developers to give the genre consideration. Life simulation genre will not die simply because Maxis stops making them.
Let's use the words quoted in context, please. "EA should be able to charge a lower price for the TS4 game because one does not need to warehouse digital copies. However, digital copies comes with the costs of maintaining servers which is the virtual version of warehousing." What you are calling marketing investigations is…
I disagree. No amount of market research can prepare a producer for the actual response of the consumer. In most parts of the USA, an increase in price of an item does not always equal a reduction in demand. The cost of smart phones is very high even though there are lower-cost options. Marketing strategy is dependent on…
In the USA, companies charge what ever the market will bare. If we pay $80, gaming companies will charge that much. If sales drop, then the amount the gaming company charges will drop. Most companies have a set profit margin for pricing of products and services. That margin will only go down if the number of sales goes…
How long the objects takes to render depends on the processor and graphic card abilities of individual systems Nothing wrong with rabbit holes, the provide the look without the graphic load; nothing interesting going on inside anyway. I prefer that my sims walk into a rabbit hole to go to work or school than to step off…
I have been playing video games since the late 80's. I do not believe that female gamers is new even in 2000. I think that people may have started looking at demographics a certain time.
