I actually feel the same way! The update was much needed, but I kinda wish they'd done a tiny bit more for lighter colors and a lot more for fantasy colors.
I didn't ever get Sweet Treats so while I can't give an actual opinion on it (though from what I've seen I wouldn't have used it much anyway), I can give an opinion on MFP, and I LOVE that pack. Mainly for the hedgehogs xD
Definitely recommend; I bought the complete collection off Amazon and downloaded fixes off the internet to get it to be able to run and it's amazing. I got it because it was my childhood and they added stuff I don't remember for objects/outfits, but it's what I remember.
I hadn't had that bug, but one of my Sim's sage plant is glitched where it's just slightly sticking out of the ground when it's fully grown but not ready to harvest.
That kind of thing is all over in game. Brindleton Bay is full of them (haven't got screenshots atm), but notably the sign by the Heckings' house on the road is almost totally invisible on one side, and then there's rocks floating in the air elsewhere in the world.
I just had one in-game last night. He didn't actually bite my Sim though, which was weird. I do have mods in though. (SOL mainly with a few smaller mods fixing vampire mermaid hybrids and allowing schooling from home).
It depends! There's actually two aging settings; one that applies to your played Sims, and one that is for all other Sims in the save. So if you have played Sims aging on (or the subset active household only!) but not the nonplayed, then only your Sims will age. If you have both turned on, then yes, other Sim children will…
