Hmmmm, I think that is part of the design. Unless recipes are tied specifically to skill level (like with cookint), they tend to disappear. From the twice I’ve done it, setting things on fire with magic does not seem to trigger the typical FIRE!!! Reaction. At least within the timeframe to then put the fire out, and give your sim a confident buff (if they don’t have the chilio spell)

Exactly. Like, I get why they made the design decision they did- buuut man sometimes I just think about what could’ve been. Overall cute and fun but some aspects seem to be a passed opportunity for making deeper gameplay.
