Oh man, I started a new game and my celebrity author picked up a Stan. Thought nothing of it till they turned up at night and showed themselves to be one of the Infected. My poor sim has never been near Strangerville, so it's like double creepy Stan.
For what it seems to be, it's definitely overpriced. Content wise looks like a Game Pack, not Expansion Pack, though it's possible some major content in it is yet to be announced. As it stands though, I'll not buy at full price. If it was a Game Pack however, I'd buy day one.
That's a real shame. All the other crystals seem to do different color blades. I was really excited when I found a black one. As for being very rare....my sim has found 5 of them on three trips to Baatu...he has more of them than he has blue crystals. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It's not just the walk either. When you try talking to them, their head just lolls to the side like their neck is broken, and then just suddenly snaps into place leaning forward far far too close to be comfortable and just staring into your sims eyes. Yeesh
I recall the first time I went through the Strangerville story, they creeped me out, but when I was on the final stage my sim rounded the corner by the Strangerville bar to the alleyway, there were 5 infected sims all heading towards me, doing their creepy insect walk in sync with one another, all chattering away. Now that…
Sorry, I was meaning when it's placed in a lightsaber. It's still black in the inventory icon, just the saber blade color is the exact same as a red one.
I was wondering the same thing. Wasn't me that did it. And yes, I've reported all of these things in the bug thread I know that you can use cheat codes and mods to get past these issues... but you shouldn't have to. As has been said, the Sims series has always been about freedom of play. Play how you like, what you like,…
I've noticed an issue with another First Order mission, where you are told to patrol the area. The tooltip says 'click on the ground and choose patrol', but no such option appears, it's the usual 'go to' 'jog to' etc etc.
I think Alien's appearance works fine because they don't have a 'link forms' option in CAS like the Mermaids and Vampires do. From what I can gather, because 'link forms' is the default setting (with no way of changing it so that unlinked is default), whenever the Baatu wardrobe options cause a change, it activates the…
If you actually watch Hondo's animations while you're playing sabaac with him, he cheats (Same animations as you do when you cheat...placing cards under table out of sight and acting shifty for a moment)
I've found that when you're in your first conversation with a non canon sim on Baatu, there aren't the usual dialogue trees, and romance is definitely missing, but if you have later conversations with them, the usual options, including romance, are available.
1) The visual design is beautiful 2) The sound design is amazing 3) Hondo actually seems to be Jim Cummings doing Simlish \o/ 4) The sound effects from the Stormtrooper armour....it clunks when you move, and has voice modulation 5) The 'Choose your own adventure' text and choices from the starship rabbitholes are really…
I know you can get blasters as items in your sim's inventory, but when placed they're in a display case. While it seems you can use them for story choices in rabbithole adventures, I haven't yet found a way for my sim to carry it on them visibly, like the stormtroopers and resistance operatives do.
I've been slowly re-adding my CC, and have found that custom spells and abilities for Occults do work on Baatu. It's just the basic ones don't, so I'm very hopeful some lovely modder is going to sort this pretty soon. You can of course change the forms back again as soon as you get home, but it's very annoying to have to…
I kind of have a suspicion that the removal of occult powers is intentional, and I would make an educated guess that it's a requirement from Disney so you don't have player Sims outshining their canon characters..like setting fire to Kylo Ren or Rey for a totally not specific I was in no way going to do that example.
Working for the First Order and the Resistance will lead to a lot of your sim fighting. If you have Get Famous, this will tank your reputation into bad very quickly.
Can confirm Mermaid powers (Not that they have many on land) are not available. Seasons Weather seems to be disabled on Batuu, though it does have a temperature gauge which seems to be set around the middle/slightly hot no matter what current Season is.
The assets are pretty good, lot to recommend and not just useable for Star Wars, can see a lot that would be good for some Steampunk or industrial vibes. Gameplay depth is...not great. Especially with the restrictions that seem to be apparent on Batuu, if they're not bugs. This should have been a stuff pack.
If siding with the First Order, there seems to be a lot of fighting involved, so be prepared for that sim to get a bad reputation if you have Get Famous
Rocket Science skill is useful when flying the starship rabbitholes. Train Lightsaber uses the Fitness skill (and increases it). Has a timer but doesn't seem to have the 'Good workout' buff applied so can be re-done without getting exhausted/sore. Reduces Sim fat levels, does not increase muscle. Programming skill is used…
