  • ^ Yeah, I heard. That's good. Still, a lot of fun conversations are going to be lost.
  • Wait, this forum is closing down? Bummer. This has so many good memories. I was very active in the writing-threads back in 2015-2018ish, and still sometimes check in. But yeah, I do recommend everyone to make their own blog/website if at all possible if they're going to be writing, especially if it's something longer. Not…
  • I have a few characters from The Chrysanthemum Tango -story that I've put as cameos in my Forget-Me-Not story. It's kinda the opposite of spin-off since the cameo characters are main characters in their original story. I would say that part of my contribution to the Pen Pal Project that was going on here on the forums some…
  • @SnowBnuuy Nah, it's fine. I figured you were talking about themes and messages. It's great that you also have alt rep in your stories! I wear alt fashion (rocker fairy/elf aesthetic or something idk) and it's nice to hear people who don't consider themselves alt appreciating the fashions.
  • Ooh, fun! I love talking about themes. It has been interesting to read everyone's responses and see all the different ways people approach the themes and what the things they want to explore are. I think that, generally speaking, my main themes are life, death, mortality, and hope. In most of my SimLit, the stories are…
  • Hi everyone! I haven't been around much since I finished Chrysanthemum Tango. My spring has been busy, but now I have a bit more time. I think I'll continue reading some SimLit again soon and maybe even continuing my Ambrosia Challenge-story again. I hope everyone's well!
  • Thank you for the shoutout, @CathyTea ! I'll start catching up on my reading soon too. I've had some stories open in my tabs for ages and I should really cotinue them. And discover new ones too.
  • Ooh, these are fun questions, and I love how varied the answers are! Shows how diverse our writing styles are! Genre: usually low fantasy or urban fantasy. Common themes: identity, death and grief and growing through that, non-human creatures discovering and inspecting humanity and the world, some meandering thoughts about…
  • @CathyTea @friendsfan367 @InfraGreen Thank you so much! I'm glad and wistful for having the story finished. Maybe I should go back to the other stories I have lying unfinished in my blogs  Take all the time you need to read my story if you still feel like reading it. My simlit reading has slowed down to a crawl too,…
  • @rednenemon Kinda, yeah. I might do some one-shots or short stories for it, but I'm glad to have the big story arcs finally finished. Took me long enough
  • @hellohannah2 Oh, that chair tip is so good. The most annoying photoshoot thing in TS4 is the fact that the Sims cannot stay standing if there's a vacant chair anywhere near them. @SnowBnuuy That position-saving trick sounds super useful too! Excellent tips all around. I use a lot of those as well. TS4 is a bit more…
  • Hello everyone! I took longer with this than needed, but here it is: the FINAL chapter for The Chrysanthemum Tango! Chapter 71: Wonderful Moments After the storm settles down, healing can begin. It is time to celebrate the little, wonderful moments. Thank you all who have read, and hey, if anyone who hasn't give this a try…

  • Hi! @riverbloe ! Good to meet you. Glad to see you asking questions! I personally have some save files just for gameplay, but most of the time I just play to get either screenshots or inspiration for my stories. My stories aren't dictated by what happens in the game, and I stage a lot of screenshots, but I like to…
  • Hello and welcome back, @MsPhy !

  • @DeiraShadeweaver Congratulations! I hope the pregnancy goes well! Well, sorry to hear about the hips not working, but I'm glad you're taking that positively too. Hopefully they decide to work again soon enough. I'm okay. Busy with work, but I also have time for hobbies on the side. I'm trying to get Chrysanthemum Tango…
  • @SnowBnuuy Yeah, it's important to find the tools that work for you. I like fairly detailed characterisation. Not all details need to be in the text, but it's good that the writer knows about them, at least.
