Thanks for your insight! I'm not technical enough, but my husband certainly understood your suggestions, and said I should definitely not sync onedrive to this computer, too.
So after going back to previously saved versions of the same world and household, the unroutable animals and sims are occurring after I customize the fur shape of the adopted dog...? Is this a known bug?
I've reset the lot, but still have to keep resetting the lot's occupants here and there. Everything is unlocked, and out of the way, but eventually they won't be able to interact and actions keep dropping from the que.
I'm interested in knowing more about using Master Controller to reset a lot; a dog, a Sim, and a horse on the same lot are all what are causing this problem. I installed Master Controller, but I haven't tried it out yet...
Thanks for the info! I understand a desktop set-up is more money than a laptop, but I'm not into laptops. Are the required specs the same for that type? What price range am I in now, in this case? In the meantime, which Worlds should I steer clear of other than Island Paradise world and Sunlit Tides? Is Aurora Skies too…
:s Thank you for the info, igazor! In researching, I had read that Island Paradise was a big EP, as well, and had been able to play without it...until now; Sunlit Tides won't save! My first male alien baby, and all! :s
kathrynmarien: Depending on how much you play, yes, that probably adds up on your desktop, no doubt! Thanks for the tip though--noted! rosemow: Thanks for the info and the link; my game's error code is gone and I learned about the save files' system--yay!
They don't have names if they are Wild in Pets, so when you hover over them, it just says Wild Horse. I did try "resetSim WildHorse", but it didn't work. Thank you for your reply to evict the Sims or Edit Town--that should do the trick, and I don't know why I didn't try that  Thank you!!
I looked at the thread, but how do I know which file is corrupt when the saves all use the same time code? Anyway, this is the error log I get after crashes while saving. Does this give anyone ideas on cause of crashes? Log Name: Application Source: Application Error Date: 10/24/2014 1:54:58 PM Event ID: 1000 Task…
I've reset through those steps before, and it's back to not saving again. What's the next step? (Here is my previous post w/ computer info: http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/comment/12719005#Comment_12719005) I have updated, too.
After playing with some new households, it appears that my saved games may have been corrupt. Just updating this post and hoping that my new games keep on saving. B) Thanks for the replies, everyone!
Thanks for clarifying, Decrain! :) The Sims 3 still runs fine for me, so I'm so frustrated with this issue and Sims 4. I'm going back to playing what works ... until another update comes along. ;)
There was only one thing that was eating up my memory--Windows Error Reporting, or something--but upon closing that (and Origin), it still crashes on saving. So frustrated that I bought this game and cannot save game play! :(
