Honestly? When I look back to my days on the PS2 playing the Sims, I think nothing but amazing times, stories and fun! Even the Sims 2, all good times and memories. Sims 3, same thing, thinking back to builds and werewolf clans taking over towns etc! Sure I do remember the lag of the open world, but for what it was, the…
That's very intresting! As a story-driven player I rarely make my own builds, usually opting to save time and download one from the gallery. Curious now as to whether i made one using the base game dine-out venue if it would be less buggy/glitchy. Definitely, something I'll have to try myself. Perhaps the bugs come in the…
Oh, 100% When I saw the trailer I thought we'd be able to run our own restaurants and be the chef, waiter, host etc Or have our family members (as a family run restaurant) working their with the OPTION of hiring. NOT only being able to hire :( Definitely disappointed the majority of people. Yeah I agree! The amount of time…
Settings dont seem to make a difference, even on LOWest it is still 20FPS and highest is 20FPS as well. I have most recent drivers, have restarted etc. 1080p resolution. The only thing i've found that helps is when I start a new game entirely. All my old saves while playable, at capped at 20FPS :/ how can I save them? It…
Yes, Id say most who played the sims 2 or 3 would vote yes. We've seen the potential for babies & in the sims 2 they were SOO CUTE! Bathing them in the sink, changing the diaper on an actual change table & putting them in the bouncer & giving them dummies! This is a LIFE simulation game, how can you NOT INCLUDE the VERY…
They would never do that, imagine the hate they would get if you could deface cultural items lol. The thing with the sims is, you dont have to add it to your gameplay and/or wear it. I'm sure there were people who hated that Hijabs were added, but again they were told to "just dont use them". I'm sure there were…
This is the part I hate... If they end up removing something or making it decorative they should at least add something else in its place. Players literally just lost another gameplay feature & in a game that is already quite lacking, they should NOT be removing features/interactions WITHOUT replacing them with something…
I don't mean this in a condescending way, but you seem to know more about Japanese/Korean culture. What is the connection between the Shrine EA had in the trailer (where the lady was bowing to it), and the Snowy Japanese Escape theme they went for? If they went for this theme, then wouldn't putting a Shrine in the game in…
Yes, I can totally see your point. AND I think if we were to look into it, we would find that EVERY culture that has been represented in TS4 can be related back to a time terrible things have happened to people/culture. When Hijabs for example were released into the game in order to represent the culture/religion of…
I'm not Korean so I don't 100% know. From what I've read from others inc. Koreans, the Korean people were forced to bow their heads to Japanese shrines & were physically punished if they did not, which is why for some it is a representation of that time period and the brutalization of their people.
I agree. I mean they had so many choices when it came to something like this. And honestly, ancestors are a big part of most Asian cultures (including Japanese), so I would have preferred an Ancestor shrine, something like this Where sims could leave offerings, put up portraits of passed sims, ask for advice and perhaps…
As far as we can see they mentioned removing the "bow" to the shrine, but it's up in the air that the whole shrine will stay in the game or not. They haven't mentioned it at all. On your second point about religion. Culture and religion kinda go hand in hand. For example in a lot of Asian cultures they honour the ancestors…
I couldn't see this option. But for me, I'm a story player and so I only kill a sim (played or NPC) when it is apart of the story I'm telling. For example if my sim has cancer and dies, it's apart of the story.
I'm not 100% sure if this works, but if you have the testingcheats true on and shift-click your sim, you should be able to reset sim and I believe that also resets the moodlets (i think!).
In all honesty, i think even letting elders use a walking stick (not just elders but anyone teen and up) with a unique walk style would be a good start. Even a walking frame would be cool. Disabilities is something I'd definitely write into my stories (I'm a story based player), although it isn't high up on my list of…
Ok, correction, that is the ToS for the use of EA owned forums NOT the sims 4 game. If you want to read the Sims 4 game ToS, load up Origin and visit the Sims 4 store page and you will see it (see pictures). The EA User agreement will link you to here: https://www.ea.com/legal And this is a screen shot of the T&C you agree…
Wait, what? Fat shaming? Smh. This is the Sims, lets not get too politically correct about a game. But I mean, if we want to go there, I hope those cookies are nut free, dairy free, gluten free and vegan! Because I mean, we wouldn't want to offend the people who are allergic to nuts, gluten and promote animal abuse.
Ehh! Its too early for me to say. I want to see it in my game and give it a couple days chance before I jump in and say yay or nay to it. I do believe in the game settings there should be a option for 'new look' and 'old look' or a 'dark mode', which would then give players the opportunity to choose which they prefer. I…
It totally depends on my story! 3 stories ago I was playing in Brindleton bay, 2nd story ago I was in Del sol, for my current story I started in San Myshuno, but spent a lot of time at a church in newcrest (practically living in) and then moved out to the county to start a family (stranger ville world!). So yeah. For me it…
If you feel this EP disappointed you, please list ONE thing that you either expected, or one thing that disappointed you the most of this EP. So many things, but if I'm being honest the constant rabbit holes (snorkeling, diving, life guard, and of course being unable to view under the water as it too is a rabbit hole!) Are…
Fantastic! I love mods (sacrificial to be specific) but I hate that everytime EA does a update on the game I have to redownload them and fix them etc :( Mods for the sims 4 need to be tied to a launcher of some kind (nexus, or minion) so players can easily update their mods rather than relocate from various websites. Gosh…
