I have launched a new blog, Twin Oracle Point (I could not come up with a creative name). It will be a classic vanilla legacy (no mods/cc). My other blog, Greenwood Estate, only made it to Gen 3, but I still think it's worth a read if you like those type of stories. It's mostly gameplay with some plot. Anyways, here's…
Hello @RandomMicrowaveTM ! I personally enjoy to read a dark story as long as it serves the story. When it comes to sharing: I wouldn't post the chapters directly to the forum as it's own thread because some readers are young, or just sensitive. I think a signature link to your blog with trigger warnings would be okay. I…
@lizzielilyy I find it the most fun at the very start when funds are though. But there are ways  A handsome inheritance to a spare, give to charities, get hacked by galactic blue kittens...
I do tons of screenshots too before writing  I consider myself classic legacy, even though I never have completed one. I like to start from nothing and see how the family grows. So maybe mostly family play/rags to riches. I also enjoy the building aspect of the game.
I can't even imagine how challenging it was already before infants since I've never had more than 3 children in any family I played. But I know infants are a handful from my play save. Crying, smelly, hungry and tired- but enough about the parents... Respect to any of you that can handle a full house of that. But their…
Yes! I felt it was easier when I started my first Sims 4 story, and felt frustrated about relearning. So it's not just me! So far I figured out I can make a home page and a blog page and link the post to the home page. I like having a list of chapters, not just newest on top. It's a very minimalistic style, like a blank…
@luckyheather Your builds always inspire me. Luckily I have my favorites in the gallery. Thank you for reminding me, my library is currently blank lol. Empty slate for new builds
@friendsfan367 Hugs, thank you for the support! You are the expert on willful sims for sure. If a Bender doesn't want to it won't happen. I'm considering starting a new legacy save, but I'm a bit on the fence about it. There is always something happening when my saves gets to grandchildren. perhaps my curse will be broken.
@SnowBnuuy Thank you! I agree, it's not fun losing game progress. In a weird way, my main characters almost felt like real persons with their own wants. My founder loved dancing even if none of her traits suggested that. But on the bright side- I had time to miss the game, it feels like a new game again. How are your…
@AdamsEve1231 Hugs! I hope your issues got solved too. An ever-growing collection of packs, plus other games, needs a good computer. I started a new save a couple days ago; just a single guy running around figuring out the new features. Also my cat says 'hi'. She wants cuddles so I must share keyboard lol.
Hello all! I'm still alive. *hugs to all old friends and wave to all new friends* So sorry for being away for so long, but I had so much problems with my computer and my save. I lost all my saves and my builds, got sad and quit. But I have rebuild my pc so I am able to play Sims again. Hopefully without major mishaps!
Had a dramatic day today. I went with my hubby to get lab work done. I told the nurse 'he's allergic to rubbing alcohol', but she used it anyway. He fainted. We're fine now, but that's more drama than I like. To be honest, I prefer to not have anything interesting to share. We're ordering burgers for lunch, so I can just…
Interesting question! Personally my style is chaos. I keep some bits and pieces of information on sticky notes, printing paper etc. Things like traits, relationships, and very loose plotline. For the first generation children I had a very detailed plotline: about a page on each, including 2-3 incidents for their lifetime…
I explain the fact that my sims port around with the use of alien technology. It's hinted at quite late in the chapters. So I suppose mine falls under the sci-fi subgenre.
I can see how legacy has become it's own genre, but I disagree that it doesn't have it's traditional counterpart. The Legend of the Ice People follows a people through generations, even though magic is involved I think of it more as about the family. But it's been ages since I read it and I didn't complete all the books :*…
Hmm, I have been into a lot of different genres over the years. Thinking back I think my earlies favorites have been mystery and crime. But don't throw the severed head at me, show me the dried drop of blood. For a while I binge read a family saga over several books. It introduced me to more romantic themes. Then I found…
With the risk of boring everyone and sounding whiny: I was able to do that when I was younger, but I've got a skin condition that requires me to adjust diet and lifestyle to manage. Very hot/cold, spicy/caffeine, drinks, all those are enemies to my skin and if I 'cheat' and drink too much coffee or do hot bath my skin is…
I have sensitive skin too. And it gets very dry, especially in winter. I often skip shaving in winter, but when I do I always go with the lotion. I also sleep with a humidifier on and keep a bottle of lotion by the bed. If I don't I'll scratch myself. I'm willing to give up a lot before I give up my skin care.
