I'm having this system error with simply purchasing things in the store itself Dx I can still get points through Origin (last time I checked, at least), but I can't but or download anything! This sucks, EA. Really does.

I've had this one too, quite a lot. What works for me is quite the game, go to Documents>Electronic Arts>The Sims 3>Saves. There you search for the file of the save game that isn't working, remove the main file ( [EXAMPLE].sims3) and rename the backup file to [EXAMPLE].sims3 instead of [EXAMPLE].sims3.backup .
