I am so glad to see that I am not alone in my frustration with the ghosts. I have begun to use several of the great suggestions is this thread and have seen a decrease in the number of ghosts in my Relationship tab. The first thing I did was to Manage World and delete any households with ghosts in them. Surprisingly there…
I suspect the ghosts need to be in the game so the bars can have "Ghost Night". Bust it sure is cluttering my immortal sim's relationship tab. In Sims 3 you could opt out of the Celebrity status in the Game Play panel and I wish we could do that with the ghost.
I find the clue don't match the suspect. That is ok, because using the "Ask about suspect" someone will point and say "They are right there". BUT, if the suspect is a ghost, the ghost won't show up at the Police Station to be interrogated. That is the problem, the ghosts don't show up at the Police Station.
This is exactly what is happening. I have more dead sims in my relationship panel than live ones. I wish there was an option in Game Play to turn off ghosts.
I apologize to all. I didn't know this was a bug. I was being facetious. I know posts like this one don't get things fixed. I also didn't know this has been a problem for 2 years. But that doesn't surprise me. Because, "posts like this don't get things fixed." Again, my apologies.
Thank you also Lilonesub, for the advice. I remember Twalan had great MODs for Sims 3 but there were sooo many steps to follow. Did you create the MCC mod?
Thank you, Rosemow. I have noticed that if you arrest a ghost they won't show up at the Police Station to be interrogated. My last 3 suspects have turned out to be ghosts and this has happened. I then have to issue another APB and try again. Perhaps this information will be helpful to someone else struggling with…
RamblinRose, I suggest that your sim keep asking about suspect, and keep arresting sims until you get the right one. If the sim doesn't show up to interrogation, just issue another APB and repeat the process till one shows up to interrogation. Good luck!
Well, my sim got her promotion, FINALLY! I decided to go to work with her because she was a level 5 detective and I didn't want her to loose seniority. Once there, I issued an APB again, went to the location, asked about suspect, arrested suspect(even thought they didn't match any clues), went to police station and did the…
Thank you for the good wishes, Rosemow. I was thinking the same thing but it didn't happen. Now I am sending my sim to work alone and hope she can get promoted to the next level, 6, without solving the crime. She filled her work bar and got the check-mark at the end of it 2 sim-days ago, but still no promotion. I will keep…
I got desperate and started arresting any sim that walked by. It ended up being Jeffery Landgrab!! What a relief. But he didn't show up at the station for interrogation. So I am back at square one...still looking to solve 2 cases so I can get promoted. sigh :(
Thank you, Rosemow, for the advice. I appreciate your help. I have been arresting folks that neeeearly match all the clues but that makes job performance lower. I have traveled to the crime scene hoping that it would trigger a new crime to investigate, but that doesn't work. My next step is to quit the Detective Career and…
Thanks, Smashleec. I used tinypic. I wish we could upload pictures like we did in Sims3, right from the launcher, so easy... It's been a quiet thread for the past 2 days. I hope everyone is having a great weekend!!!
Kaylaholiday, Granny's house is a wonderful build. I am currently working on it. My story as I remodel it is that the grand children have rallied around Granny and are happily helping her. As they work they discovered that the siding is rotted and needs removed. The porches are sagging and pulling on the structure of the…
Smashleec, I am finished remodeling your house. My ID is Pattyco1. And I renamed the lot as Old House Remodeled. I haven't saved it to the Gallery, so will you still be able to add it to your game and look at what I have done to it?
Ok, thanks! I am remodeling your house. I just wondered if all the homes we "remodel" as part of this thread meant no structural changes, and only new paint/wallpaper, flooring, landscaping.
