@jillbg , this tool may be able to help you with that - Sims3 Pattern Recategoriser :) The patterns need to be in package form to begin with, but that's easily enough done with S3Extractor.

Like Karritz I mostly don't bother with dive lots. I don't think you're missing out on much, but that is just my opinion. Mine crashes probably every couple of months, usually after spending a long time building / decorating & CaSTing. And it isn't so much a crash, it's that when it does choose to misbehave, it's the UI that disappears and I'm forced to task manager out of the game.
