Thanks @natastic. It is a resource heavy build, I think it's near the limit of what the game can handle tbh. Hey @thejmobile and thanks! Lol, that's how this build started in truth. I wanted something for my Lady of the Manor but I couldn't find anything grand enough. Also installed a Monarchy career I found over at MTS…
Lol! To anyone who is interested you can find the thread created by @Swiftlover13 called Rate My Build here. Get your brave pants on because this simmer holds no punches!! Thank you @Swiftlover13 :) The Blue Drawing Room is one of my favourite spaces in the build; that and the revamped library. I'll have a look at The…
Thanks imdragonit :) If you altered the flowers on one side of the build it would break up the symmetry a bit. I do realise me commenting on symmetry is like the pot calling the kettle black!! :D
Hey, I've made some changes to the build and updated The Mural Hall and The Gilded Library over in my thread. Would you bob over and take a look with that harsh feedback of yours? :D Don't want to spam your thread with pictures of my build over and over!!
Hi everyone, So I got some helpful feedback which led to me redesigning a couple of the rooms so I've updated the links with the edited build. The rooms that have been changed are The Mural Hall and The Gilded Library; I've taken new screenshots which can be seen in the second post. Hope you like them :)
Hi doicky96, Thanks for the feedback :) Not sure I can do much about the compulsive symmetry, as I said to Swiftlover13 I've just not got it in me! I love asymmetrical builds but I just can't pull it off myself. Going to place a vase the other side of the Venus statue in The Mural Hall and re-CAS't the library. Got an idea…
No problem :) It was actually really nice to get some constructive criticism; personally I find it really useful. I've actually been a member since 2012 however I had my account hacked and had to create a new one :# As for your kind offer I don't really have the time at the moment. I'm in the middle of relocating and have…
Hi SilentWorlf101, thank you! Not sure my profile picture is that great, been thinking of changing it as it's just my avi from the old forums. Keep thinking I'd like to try something cool like yours and so many others but I'm such a dunce with photoshop. Anyway... the you can find the download here: Teach Conchobair
I get what's happeining. Have you got object hiding on in the game options? If you have then it will hide objects on the floor below. For storytelling and screenshots if you turn off object hiding then they will show up. Nice solution for the roof, the rugs are only there to hide the gap as I ran out of floors!!
Hey thanks for you feedback. Hmm; I'm not sure more furniture would work in an entrance hall to be honest. But then I'm not fond of overly furnished spaces. Different strokes for different folks I guess. It's funny the one thing that has struck me all the times I have visited various country houses is their fabulous use of…
Ok, good to know! If you chose to put them in there should be the Galerie de GLaces mirror: http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=477696 either side of the fireplace. Do you mean the rugs? They're from Into the Future and the pattern used was a base game pattern so it shouldn't be a CC issue. If you don't have that…
Go on; I'll have a punt at this. Here's something I've been working on for a long time. It starting off ridiculously big and just spawned error code 12 messages all the time. However after much revision it's finally playable, finished and up for download!
Hey, I hope you don't mind me sharing this in here. This build has been such a long time in the making; it starting off ridiculously big and just spawned error code 12 messages all the time. However after much revision it's finally playable, finished and up for download!
I've just noticed the mirrors are missing either side of the fireplace in the library. Did you take them out or did I forget to add them to the CC package?
Great, glad the download links are all working as they should. Tom that is high praise indeed! It was Waddesdon that inspired this build. I remember downloading it ages ago and just being blopwn away by it. It'd already started this build but it was that creation which showed me just how good it could be! Don't be sad, RL…
Ok I knew I'd messed up. I think I left out the lilies lighting the fountain in The Little Courtyard from the download. I've added it to the download and have replaced the files on mediafire. If you have already downloaded the lot and don't have lilies in the fountain and want them then please click the links again. Sorry!
Hurrah! I'm glad it's there, I was beginning to worry I'd messed up exporting it somehow which is totally possible. I'll be interested to hear your thoughts once you've played it.
Hi ENolan, thank you. It is nice having my time back now though! Thanks junceda! I forgot about that! I think that's the only place the original version exists now. Yay! I'm sooo glad it's working for you. If anyone spots any niggles through gameplay let me know and I'll try and iron them out.
Hi Josefine, that's wierd. I'll try and upload it again. Ok I opened it with no problems however I'll change the mediafire link so it takes you to a folder where you can download them all. Link changed. Can someone try it to see if it works?
I'm really glad you like it! The proof of the pudding is in the eating though. I've tried to make it as playable as possible. I even cloned the columns and edited them so they hide when the walls on the ground floor are down! There's also a little puzzly hidden tomb thing tucked away in there! Oops! I knew I'd forgotten…
