No square at all means that there is no ideal lighting on that lot, and that there are no objects in the world that will appear in the gallery thumbnail.
Yesss, I love all of these! And I'd like to add Mansard roofs as well. I know we can *technically* make them using walls and half hipped roofs, but it's such a pain to do! All previous Sims games have had a Mansard roofing tool, so why not 4?
More relationships in CAS (boyfriend/girlfriend, step-families, etc.) More parties (baby showers, wedding showers, slumber parties, funerals) Placemats for dining tables that coordinate with holidays/seasons Firefighters, burglars, matchmakers
Willow Creek is based off of the American southeast, so I'd say that's probably going to be your best bet. My personal favorite is the neighborhood with the Pancakes' house because it's not super fancy looking. Plus every once in awhile, you can see a steamboat traveling down the river, which is always fun, I think!
I'm also hoping for a fix for the stinky leaf piles! I'm tired of sending my sims around burning every leaf pile they can find. I'm also hoping they fix the teleporting bug. While not truly game breaking, it's definitely distracting when my sims suddenly warp all over the lot.
I realize it's a holiday weekend here in the US, but do we know if there's anyone to contact about the current gallery outage? It's going to be a verrrry long weekend if people can't access it.
The only thing I ever change about Darling is I edit her in CAS to make her unable to get pregnant. With MCCC installed, she tends to get pregnant by some random person at some point, and I just don't see Darling wanting to carry a pregnancy. Otherwise, I think she's fine just the way she is.
I'm starting a build series where I'm filling up Newcrest with every type of community lot! First up is the Newcrest Art Museum, and at the end of the video is a poll where you can vote on what community lot you'd like to see next! https://youtu.be/BWxoWNgFPDw
Nope. Besides the fact that I'm disappointed that the Cats & Dogs content wasn't in the C&D EP, I really dislike the look of almost all of the build/buy items. The furniture looks plastic, and that's just not something that I'll get much use out of. Outside of a kid's bedroom, that style of furniture just doesn't look…
I'm glad you like it! I decided to not assign points for maxing out adult skills (or child skills) because there are quite a few aspirations that require maxing out skills, so to me that felt like double dipping. Toddlers only get points for maxing out skills because they have no aspirations. Let me know how your…
For anyone who's interested, I've started a series of this challenge on my YouTube channel! You can check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLobY5P3upvz5yq-0EDGrk5BF_lNH2GD-z
The gallery is giving me issues too. For some reason, the only trending hashtag that's showing up for me is #parenthood. My older creations are still getting downloads, even ones that don't use that hashtag. Hopefully this will get fixed once people are back in the office tomorrow. In the meantime, I'm not going to bother…
I finally got the nerve to start a LP! It's called Aunt Life and it's about a YA sim named Coral who suddenly gains custody of her two nieces after their mom was killed in a lint trap fire! Feedback is definitely appreciated. :) I hope you all enjoy it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJ7gwT6Mxm4
I created a challenge called the Big Family, Little House challenge. It focuses on having 8 sims living in a starter home. http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/932729/big-family-little-house-challenge
Yes! Niceness is fine in small amounts, but it makes no sense when my sims who hate each other will do the mean interactions that I told them to do, and then immediately start doing friendly interactions autonomously. It's silly! I'd like it if emotions in general were dialed back to allow the traits shine through. I also…
Oh man! My grand plan was to set up a mini clinic in my sim's backyard so she could treat all of the strays that come through. There goes that idea. I guess it's time to start crafting a bunch of wellness treats.
Outbuildings aren't allowed, but you can place skill building objects outside. In my mind, I'm viewing the house in this challenge as a rental. Typically landlords frown on building new structures on their lots. Bunk beds are totally fine, and in some lots, probably necessary! :) I'll check out your house/family when I get…
I honestly can't think of a situation where they thought that this was a good design to implement. I love this game, I really do, but MAN I'm so tired of having to rely on mod creators to undo the decisions that Maxis made. Normally I hesitate to throw around words like "lazy" when talking about game devs, but in this…
I've noticed the same thing. It's odd, especially since cats and small dogs are the same size. There's no issue with spawning cats, so there shouldn't be a problem with small dogs.
Yup! I really want to make my real life dog, and I think the new world (so far) looks beautiful. I haven't decided how I feel about the vet career. I may end up avoiding it for the same reason I could never be a vet in real life. But if I can play it without having to put patients to sleep, I'm on board!
I recreated my version of Discovery Zone (an indoor playground) using the items from the Toddler Stuff Pack! Check it out! https://youtu.be/7Ifs2MotdQo
OP, I love your ideas! Honestly, I'd be more than willing to pay for a vacation worlds EP if they decided to go that route instead of a GP. I don't really care how more vacation worlds come; we just need them so badly! I think when you select to go to Granite Falls, the icon even says something to the effect of "Vacation…
Yes! I love small, old fashioned houses, but without L and U shaped stairs, I struggle with keeping my houses small. I also miss ladders. I want to be able to build little attics with only a ladder to get up there.
