Well, my new legacy seems to be starting off well. Looking forward to expanding it and getting another Crowley story started. No marrying explorers! Second generation born. Well, technically third as I started with a single female with a toddler and now her daughter has two boys. All going well so far!

Five sculptures of each material so I'm assuming that means, 5 wood, 5 ice, 5 metal, 5 clay and 5 rock. Not sure if there's another material. Think that's how this is to be interpreted.

Thanks to everyone for their advice. Despite the fact that my daughter didn't want it, I installed Traveller and it seems to have fixed the problem. The investigator in me would really like to know what caused it in the first place, but at least now they'll potentially see sims from their own neighbourhood on holidays so…

Well, there is the obvious one that I don't see in your post. Having a couple try for a baby or having a sim just go out and be irresponsible (on purpose) for one.

They won't have custody of them, but if your sim gets friendly with any sim in a WA world, they can end up having a descendent in a WA world. Yes, I've heard this even works if you have a female sim, so you can have a child and...not...know it.

@texansky I'm definitely going to ask her about doing something different because abstaining is not really helping as I miss the community! @Faerie197 I suppose it's because I run a story progression mod (as EA story progression is terrible). But am I right in saying that without Supernatural you cannot actually create a vampire, or did they bring this out in a patch?

If you ever see someone say they have to leave and their carrying your baby, just reset the baby and it will end up on the ground. This is a bug that's existed, as far as I'm aware, in some form or another since Sims 2 (when the babysitter could 'steal' your baby). Glad you got your baby back!

CAS. The only pre-mades I'll use are ones that I saved into that premade bin. Generally they're legacy sims born in game that weren't chosen as the heir. I think I prefer the personalisation of story and traits available to me when I create my own sims.

@Keth Sometimes when updating the Store items update as well. Certain items won't be functional if you haven't updated your 'store' and it's items. The updates here are relatively old, but you might just make sure you have them: http://ie.thesims3.com/store/patches
