  • Most likely the same as I did for Cats and Dogs, wait for it to be on sale. I don't think I'll play the acting career more than once, so I'm more interested in the build/buy items, and I might as well wait for a lower price if objects are going to be my main reason for buying.
  • I became so frustrated by the spliced plants never producing the third growth, and spending several thousand simoleans on seed packs and not getting anything I needed that I turned on the see hidden objects cheat and just bought what I had been missing. If I'd been running an actual challenge game with rules my sim would…
  • Ugh, yes this. I have had 8 straight days of thunderstorms on my lot (Brindleton Bay) and my bee box has been obliterated three times. So it's not just electronics, the only positive is that while I lost all the honey in the box, the bee's bonding status stayed the same, so I don't have to rebond with them constantly. We…
  • I am prepping a game for a florist, she's been working hard getting all the flowers planted and evolved to perfection so that her florist shop will be ready to be filled with high quality blooms.
  • I am super thrilled by all the new gardening game play. Botanist career, bees, floral arranging? Wow, finally we can do something with all the flower plants! It also looks like they are adding in even more curly hair, which is so awesome. I've always loved having seasons in my sims games, perfect sunny weather all the…

  • Oh wow, that light got top votes? Awesome! I've been wanting so much for that sort of cheap hanging light for backyard sheds, garages or attic spaces. And Eco living could also mean economy living, and that's as cheap as a light gets!
  • I would love for the wood working bench to be expanded on with this game pack. It's been sadly neglected since the OR game pack that added a few items to it. A bed, another chair design, children's toys, new decor... and maybe at a higher level of woodworking the ability to stain or paint your creations so they don't…
  • Emi started out as lover of art and music and then one day picked up a *very* interesting book. Fictional of course... because Vampires weren't *real*. But the more she read, the more fascinated with this occultish lifestyle she became, and her style began to reflect her new interests. Until one dim evening, she followed…
  • I am so incredibly excited for some of these clothes. I can see a sari, what looks like a Japanese inspired dress with an obi, plus head wraps and turbans! It looks like we're finally getting some variety for cultures!
  • I do have a game with a grown child of J. The mother was the child of a founder sim of a Legacy play, and she married J just a few days before he hit elder. He lived a long time though, his daughter was halfway through her teens when he finally died of old age. J and my custom sim Their daughter as a child and a teen.
  • I have the gardener bug, and I noticed that if I leave the game's focus on my home lot there's no problems. However if I have an active career or if my sim leaves to go to another lot during the time the gardener is supposed to come and work, the gardener will quit after a day or two. They also steal my sim's coffee pot.…
  • *waggles hands back and forth* It depends. On your Sims skill, whether or not they have the Super Green Thumb perk and also how much time in a day they have. One of my Sims that had a full time career and low gardening skill could take care of 6 plants fairly easily and still have time to socialize and do her job…
  • If you own only the base game, there's one bed that you can get without buy mode, and a total of seven if you own OR and GTW! So far the most difficult item to find has been sinks, there's only one available unless you have GTW and some luck.
  • I have the same problem, only with the toilet. My sims *constantly* are running off to pee, even if their bladder is not only full, but I have the steel bladder perk! So now I simply stick all toilets on my home lot into household inventory until I need to have a sim use one. While it's not a real solution to the problem,…
  • I struggled for a bit when I started playing and finally I made a household of 8 sims in a fresh game, gave them a bunch of money to build a nicely kitted out house and got a pencil and paper and partied with them until I'd written everything down that happens. It's a lot easier to medal when you already know what it is…
  • The Merry Maids - Neat Trait - teen to elder They can come over every 2-3 days and indulge in all sorts of club activities! Weeding and watering the garden, Cleaning up the house, Repairing broken things, and a little cooking to fill up the fridge! And one that's not quite so self indulgent... Grandpa's Poker…
  • She might have followed some other sim through the door. When the door is open, anyone can pass through until the closing animation happens. That happened to me a lot in Sims 3 when I fenced off my garden to keep people from playing in sprinklers all day. The gardener would pass through the gate and if there was a sim…
  • I pretty much ignored the pre-made sims in 1 and 2 for my own custom families. However I started doing challenges and dynasty play in 3 and I think my favorite was Constance Shelley from Riverview. She was clumsy and neurotic, sure, but she had that sexy, geeky librarian look and had awesome kids for the dynasty.
  • Mmm, yes, yes they do. And frequently drop whatever they *were* doing so they could run and hug someone else. Cue cancelling the hug and restocking all the commands they were supposed to be completing.
  • Okay, I have managed to finally get the Sims 4 running. Origin *must* be offline however. Online Origin launcher = crashing and failure. Base Game still will *not* repair successfully. None of myold save games are registering anymore, even though I still have them in my save game folder. All my created sims and lots…
  • Computer rebooted, cleaner run, scans for viruses run, defrag run, full reinstall and the latest patch downloaded. The patch downloaded without a problem, but the game still crashes at the plumbob and the repair tool still gives a download failed for the base game.
  • *sigh* Still will not load, and the repair tool fails at the end of the job for the base game. I'm pretty sure whatever the problem is, it's what's causing the repair to consistently fail, because the expansion pack and game pack repair correctly, other games in origin launch and play normally, it's the base game only that…
  • Alright. I have uninstalled and reinstalled origins and then run the registry cleaner, still to no effect. When attempting to repair the game, at the 98% complete mark 9.10/9.22 gb checked, the repair hangs for about a minute before moving on to finalize repair. It then declares that the download failed and the repair is…
  • Things I have done: Laptop on a cooling pad (always has been) Unnecessary programs shut down for memory room. Removed all CC. Removed all save games. Removed tray. Cleared cache. Completely deleted the Sims4 folder in the documents library and had the game rebuild it from scratch. Completely uninstalled and reinstalled…
  • @ThatDoggoneGirl7 I have some CC, however, those were the first things I removed, then I went and did a full clean reinstall with no saves, mods or additions to the tray. The game still crashed at the plumbob loading screen.

  • I wish they'd use it more often honestly. It raises fun, hygiene and fitness. But they will race for the cheap little computer I bought so my writer sim could do her job. I pulled both the radio and the TV to see if that would help and now they're grabbing books from the bookshelf to read instead. If I wasn't playing an…
  • I generally set at least 3 everyday outfits unless I'm going for a very specific look to a sim. Kids usually just get 1 or 2, because they won't be in that age category long. And once they hit elder, I give them another makeover.
  • Well, phooey. Hopefully that will get fixed. Soon. Anyways, good luck on your fishing!
  • I have read that fishbowls will keep your fish fresh, but that's adding more items to the lot. maybe one or two for decor and a nice catch stored there for a later meal? And getting a fourth aspiration to complete, that's great!
