I usually start with a single sim, 3 to 4 sims is my comfort zone. Beyond that I tend to start moving sims out as kids age up. For pets I normally only allow one dog, since the games routing system for animals can cause them to block access to beds etc.

I brought sims 3 in 2009, I must have logged more hours in it than any other game I have played. So thanks guys for taking thousands of hours of my life, it continues to be fun.

I rarely allowed the kids to keep the doll, I usually passed it to the parent to stop it progressing. It frustrated me that you couldn't sell the thing. In the end I installed a mod to stop the dolls being generated.

I would agree, I prefer sims 3 . I liked it enough to buy all the expansions, stuff packs and about 2.5gigabytes of store content. For sims 4 I have only the base game, enough said.

I have all stuff packs, what I use from these 3 is follows. Fast Lane - The garage clutter stuff, useful for decorating inventors workshops. Hardly ever use the cars. Placing the parking space does not spawn the truck straight away. If you had a fire station lot by itself the same would happen. The truck doesn't spawn unless you have a house hold member that is a firefighter, it then spawns when the game triggers an emergency call.

Speaking as some one who went from the Playstation 2 sims to Sims 3. No i wouldn't have missed toddlers. The open world and build options were a real step up. As stated in op the aging up from baby to child is rather jarring, but I would have got used to it. My reasons for not liking sims 4 go further than missing toddlers.

Yeah the multitab is standard equipment for my sim families. If they can afford one each so much the better. Usually I use it to up the skills starting with charisma.

If you are building houses, keep routing in mind. No single square passage ways. And stick with smaller lots to start with say 30 x 40. My early attempt on a 60x60 had rooms that were way too big.

Pets that go to sleep on the floor next to the bed, which traps their owner in the bed. I took to locking the bedroom door to pets. Also the berate ignorance interaction which sims just seem to pick up and then throw into conversations at random.

I have them all although I probably only use Town life on a regular basis, since I like to edit the town. I did try playing without some packs after a reinstall, but I kept finding I missed like one or two items from each pack. So they all came back in.

I registered my games back in 2009/2010. When I logged into the store yesterday I had two messages saying thank you for registering your games. Which I thought was odd, now this explains it.

Yes, thats normal. Basically any repairs/cooking or cleaning can do cause this. To stop it, go into life time rewards and have you sim get 'Inappropriate in a good way' reward. Its cheap and then they can do what they like at other peoples homes.

In your games on origin, right click on sims 3, and select 'view game details'. Any expansions or stuff packs you have should appear there, ignore the ones with a green + symbol, since you haven't brought those yet.

My first experience of sims was on the Ps2. I remember after first playing I went into the language settings cuz I thought the speech was screwed up.

I would agree with castaway. On the Ps2 it was my first introduction to the sims games. It was glitchy and a bit bugged but I liked it. Not sure of the address, it was the vacant 20x30 lot near the beach. I had a husband and wife with a female child. The house was little more than a box. I remember feeling sorry for the child cuz to start with she had only a book to read, no toys.

After having sims 4 on my machine for 7 months (21 hours playing time). I have come to the conclusion that I am not the target user for this game and have uninstalled it. I continue to play sims 3 which I have had since 2009.

Sounds like the normal reaction to people being on the stage during a performance. What are these sims doing? In one of my venues sims were routing across the stage to get to some musical instruments next to the stage, I added a bit of fence so access from the showtime stage was blocked. We can work it out :) Downloading the content from purchase history does not auto install it. Run the launcher, click on downloads. Next to each item is a tick box, tick it to select item then click the install button at the bottom of the window. Don't select too many at once, just 5 or 6 items at a time.

Hmm depends on how much you like to edit the town. The pack seems mainly about adding more modern looking buildings to the town. It also adds washing machines and some child play items like spring riders. Do you have those already?

I find it that sometimes the game decides that a sim is having a party, even if they are not at home. And the party aborts because there is no one at home. I am guessing bug, cuz the game selects a party host based on where they are. Not where they will be at the time of the party.
