  • Insert Old Apple joke... Have you tried turning it off and back on? No, seriously. I've had this same problem a few times. First time I thought maybe one of the items was broke and remodeled the kitchen. Needless to say, that didn't work. However, completely exiting the game and going back in (same save even) did correct…
  • I'm surprised Sunlit tides isn't on the sale list. ROFL! Toddler stuff should go on sale before too long. They got me full price on that one as well. LOL! I've shied away from the furnishings themselves as of late. Too many of the newer items look suspiciously like their base game or EP/SP counterparts. Now a good…
  • mjybirdsong, Your recommendation to edit home town and then return to uni worked like a champ. Upon returning from Edit town my sims were looking for a place to live. Even with all of Twallan's mods I run. Thanks.
  • Yea, they missed the zoning on a few lots. Library being one of them. It's set for no visitors. It can easily be changed in Edit Town. Then once found, your sim(s) won't be the only ones in town able to use it. LoL!
  • I've been having the same type issue. By the time I finally get the second sim in the balloon, the first one steps back out. And they were on a date! HEY DEVS! Where's the "Ride With" option?
  • Yes, LCat is on a bit of a rant ATM. My sims are not cast members in "The Walking Dead". Why do we still not have an option to turn off the zombies? We have options for the other occults, why not the zombies?
  • I have had issues with patches in the past. First thread in this section has a link for the cumulative super patch. Here's a link to the patch file. Cumulative Base Game 1.42.130 Super Patcher for The Sims 3 Download that and try your update again. [EDIT] LoL xXPetraGirlXx beat me to the post button.
  • Interesting question.... I enjoy building things for my sims. So nicely made worlds with extra items (Especially if they are functional) moves things up my wish list. But, I also look at how my sims might enjoy living in a world. So far Sunlit tides has my vote for living. Wonderfully done tropical setting. Don't expect to…
  • I turned on move objects and simply had my sims plant in the greenhouse. LoL! Less work than having to transplant the veggies from outside.
  • Karritz, Bring up the cheat window Ctrl+Shift+C, Turn on Testingcheatsenabled true. When you want your sim to plant in your greenhouse, moveobjects on, to get past the can't do that inside message. When your sim is done planting moveobjects off. Your sim(s) will be able to do all other gardening actions on those plants…
  • Hmmm... Thoughts. First: set greenhouse "roofing" pieces to act as actual roofing. Second: Teach non potted, indoor grown plants not to get all frosty in the winter. (Including the weeds) Now Brainstorming possibilities. a) A room marker designating the space as greenhouse. Marker allows for planting indoors (Without pots)…
  • Not sure about the window, but from what I've been reading here, the roof pieces are in buy mode, under Decor/Roof decorations.
  • Yes it is still available. Top of the page, Game/Worlds it's at the top of that list. If you are redownloading, It can also be found in your store purchase history.
  • This site does seem to have more than it's fair share of "moments". Must have the rebellious trait.
  • Little piece of CC will sort the problem till the devs get us a proper fix. Use clear floor tiles to create a flat roof. (Get the ones that let daylight through.) Then place the greenhouse pieces on top of the tiles. Don't have the greenhouse yet, however here's a pic looking up from the basement of my sim's current home.
  • Yes. I haven't done it myself, But from what I've read, the game will usually send the younglings to the closet school to their home. Can really cut down on the commute time in larger worlds, or reduce the bottleneck at the entry door in worlds with a larger child and teen population.

  • Correct. It's the DL link they've used since CAW was first released. At the time I posted, it still had the old version. (but then... I did say that.) LOL!
  • Well? Since EA has a habit of putting CAW in the same spot with the same file name, I went on a little hunt. Located the direct link to the download in another thread here. http://llnw.thesims3.com/content/global/downloads/caw/worldtool.exe Bummer... DL is still the old version. So still waiting. ROFL! DOH! Kinda OK. I…
  • Meh... Guess there's only one thing to do.. Have my sims move to empty lots of appropriate size and build. Export the lots and place them in the new world when CAW is updated. Plus side? All the houses will have been play tested. Down side? Good chance there will be rotten food in the fridge and dirty laundry in the…
  • Other than Lucky Palms (Much time after the "what does this button do" time I spent with this bloated saves bit), I can't remember when I last started a game in a populated world. ROFL!!
  • At this point, as far as I can tell. Seasons and what we might get with it is still all speculation and rumor. I'll start believing these rumors when EA makes an official announcement and starts putting up all the teasers.
  • My sims have a habit of rescuing younglings from the child labor slave industry that is the local newspaper. I do try not to take them with if I'm starting a new game. A while back, I had a rescue who quite literally became best friends with herself. After meeting up with her "clone" at one of the parks. Hmm.. Now…
  • Unfortunately, No. With the way the devs packaged the original Riverview, folks downloading a world that has either the Riverview distant terrain or bridge sides will need to have the CC versions of these items. When the Devs packaged Riverview, they put these items as part of the world file itself. So unless EA's…
  • That happens when the camera position is off the edge of the world. Or we are zoomed out too far. Zoom in, and/or move the camera a bit further inland.

  • DOLLDRMS1. I tried. Twice. It's not realigning the bridges that's difficult, it's the two simweeks of testing to see if anyone gets stuck. (They still do). I became irritated. LoL. And decided to do something I don't normally do. Use non-exchange CC in one of my worlds. To be more specific. My sims just Love living…
  • Hey redsilkSim, It's not your game, it's the server being a pain. Of course CAW didn't help any with this. Exchange server looks at the files we upload. Checks for store content and CC/exchange items. In this case three of RFLong7's patterns that were in a house I was going to add, Even placed, then decided I didn't like…
