First time, there wasn't anything and he stood there waiting so I dismissed him. Second time, I had a similar thought so I broke my kitchen sink and called another Repairman. He came, tampered with the sink, but failed to fix it. He then said he was done, took the $50 and left. I don't know if it's typical behaviour as I…
I tried it on two different PC using all EP's and SP's. The first one (much older and less performant) takes twice as much time to launch. Actually, it seems to hang a while launching Origin. If Origin is already on, there's only a slight difference. Once in however the game runs even smother than when I launch it with the…
Ssshhh... We're hiding! I think I missed something about TS5. I couldn't find anything official about it, yet I keep getting spammed about TS4 in Origin. Things like "Free new stuff and such." I also get ads about TS3 x64, but only to land on the Mac version, so I assume the PC version isn't out yet.
I'd guess I spent between $250 and $300 in CAD, plus bonus points I received here and there plus some items which I bought as redeemable codes at Walmart's and on eBay.
That's what I was afraid of. They didn't rewrite the code, they (most likely) simply changed the header to something like making the game appear to be x64 friendly, or made a similar tweak, while the content is still coded in x32 (it would be fine-ish on hybrid x32/x64 systems, like most versions of Windows, but not on…
I'm curious... Did they recode the game to go by x64 standards or simply took the x32 code and hastily tweaked it into being runable by an exclusively x64 system? In other words, does it crash every couple minutes?
About CYS; It's based on the percentage of the point value of the set (for example, a 13 point item is 10% of a 130 point set, no matter if said set has 4 or 20 items). It's unrelated to the depicted percentage of owned items. About completionitis or completionism, I'm affected too. I ended up owning the store for the sole…
Caution: Venting ahead I know some TS4 players will argue about that, but TS4 started as a flop, so EA and Maxis chose to sabotage TS3 in an attempt to literally force TS3 simmers to switch to TS4 by killing "fraternal competition". Epic fail. TS3 remained a better seller than TS4 on eBay and Steam for a while. Quite a…
I think I missed something about Twitter. As for the urge to know anything instantly on social media that @ajaxpost mentioned, it's called FOMO, and last time I heard about it, it was about to be recognized as a psychological problem as it caused many burnouts and such.
Happy Father's Day, when applicable! Sorry, I was a week early! @GoodFeel93 I'm in a similar situation. I just got a surplus computer from my mom's office (it was going to the recycling center, but it's 3 years old and can easily be updated and upgraded!) However, reinstalling Windows 10, plus all the basic software, and…
