See, I've seen this point used constantly, but I don't see its relevance. What else are they supposed to add for a romance pack? There's parts in mods included in the EP, like a dating app, but there's others, like the roleplay feature or dying of a broken heart, that's unique to the pack itself. There would obviously be a…
My own opinions and hey, a reason to procrastinate on my studying, lol. TL:DR: I'm starting to find myself disagreeing that this sounds like a Game Pack. This is more than I thought we'd get and its on top of a world, BB, and CAS. While the career sounds lame and the world is much too small, we seem to be getting a large…
This seems much better suited as a mod idea or part of an EP rather than a strict GP as a whole pack centered around gameplay for one trait (or one kind of interest) is way too niche. I think to generalize it more and to appeal to more people, I'd put only half of these ideas into a Hobbies EP or some such and leave room…
I think a Guru tweeted in the past expressing interest in trying to add polyamory to the game. Maybe this expansion will do it. I've my doubts, though.
Takeaways: Like folks thought, a dating app is confirmed. Though I expect it to be somewhat annoying to use if a lot of the Sims on the app are just randomized and ugly townies (even worse for CC users). Could be useful in a save with plenty of premades to work with, though. Always down for new intimate interactions,…
Weird. For me, the Dark Form doesn't get randomized, which makes sense to me. Spellcaster doesn't have a second form, so it strikes me as the easiest (and most powerful) occult to make a hybrid out of. Thanks to this thread, I just tried the Vampire/Spellcaster hybrid with a customized Dark Form and everything worked fine.…
Here's mine: * More romantic animations, especially in regards to physical touch. Cuddling, hand-holding, dancing, kissing the forehead, etc. Animations must not be super childish. My Sims are adults. I'd like for them to act like it. * Some form of an attraction system. Sims require more complex reasons to find another…
Agreed. Packs that put emphasis on the world are almost always disappointing. Except maybe Cottage Living. That said, assuming this pack does turn out to be alright, one hope I have is more cuddling/romantic animations as the tweet above speculates... and while it's probably a long-shot, said animations aren't so childish.
I too do not have to be convinced to stick with TS4. I may have my many issues with the game, but between the modding community and the story I came up for it with my Sims, I'll still be playing the game for as long as it can be played. Even if I ever got sick of it, I still have my in-progress completionist character in…
An entire expansion pack dedicated to romance? I like romance as much as anyone else, but I always expected that a romance pack would be a GP. Considering how extremely hit or miss expansion packs are and remembering the My Wedding Stories fiasco, expectations for me will be kept very low.
Not really. I usually just grab water since I'm not the best with keeping myself hydrated. Or tea while I take some pills and such, but that's about it.
I'm more neutral on the subject. I like the centralized focus on occults in this game, though I would like Spellcaster Vampires. That said, besides the fact that this is very unlikely to happen, if they were going to do anything occult, I'd rather they focus on Fairies and perhaps Genies. And especially a focus on adding…
I love making lists, so I'll totally join for this one. Keep in mind that I am coming at this from the perspective of someone who has heavily modded this game (mods folder is 163GB) and I play the game for screenshotting, CAS, and live gameplay and not for building. #1: Vampires I would not be playing the game without this…
No and I never will. For my style of gameplay and storytelling, creating myself or anyone else I know in my life would be extremely weird, to say the least.
If memory serves, burglars haven't been added to the game so far because the team didn't want to risk the feature scaring people (kids/teens mostly) since it's fairly well known it used to give people a good jump, especially the music. And even then, plenty of people look back on it fondly. I've never agreed with keeping…
Dunno if this post belongs in the Negative thread since I'm kinda meh on this pack. I don't expect the world to be that interesting because the worlds in this game never are. I don't have much use for property ownership, unless it works similarly to TS3 and I can own numerous lots and generate an income from them. That'd…
Leaning on the side that it's fake. Scooters are easily doable, they could just reuse bicycles, change the model, add a sound for it, adjust the animations, voila. Scooters. But I've never seen a Sim in any promotional material across any of the games that wore something as unimpressive as seen here.
With the sentiment here, the upcoming roadmap would be a great time to announce a future occult/fantasy based game pack. Bit of a stretch, but here's hoping that Grim Reaper career that appeared in a survey comes to light.
