  • He has been married to 6 women across 5 different lives, with a combined total of 9 ceremonies. Only 8 were out of love (odd one out was "annulled"). Looking back, it's either a strange coincidence that 4/6 were blonde, or I've got a preference.
  • @MonaSolstraale Hard enough for others to find. Harder still if it's non-existent, save for one site. I am ever grateful for your appreciation thereof.
  • @simgirl1010 Thank you. In that case I'd like to nominate my Simming Tips: https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/992179/simming-tips-repository/p1
  • @EA_Cade will posts be deletable on the new forums?
  • Normal span with custom settings. Baby = 1 week = 7 days Infant = 1 week = 7 days Toddler = 2 weeks = 14 days Child = 3 weeks = 21 days Teen = 4 weeks = 28 days YA = 5 weeks = 35 days Adult = 6 weeks = 42 days Elder = 3 weeks = 21 days Total= 25 weeks = 175 days (12.5 seasons)
  • An update regarding my previous answer: Snowy Escape's adventure gear and Selvadorada's repellents/relief do not work vice-versa, the beekeeper's suit from Seasons also does not work, and Outdoor Retreat's Herbalist potions do not work for Mt. Komorebi's "wildlife". That said (as pointed out by @Childrenofhurin ) Outdoor…
  • Pretty sure, so it's possible there was something wrong on my end, be it my fault or no. Either way, it's an opportunity to re-test, and that's always enjoyable. Thanks for the confirmation. I'll update my previous answer once I have done a thorough re-test to ensure I didn't miss anything else.
  • I'll have to re-test that when I get the chance. When I tried it some years ago it did nothing to repel the insects in Belomisia. Was your sim low-skilled? Did the notification mention the repellant? Which animation played when the bees attacked?
  • Unfortunately there isn't. You'd have to first own the place (as a store or home), dress them, then move out/sell it.
  • Yes it would, as explained. TL;DR: They wouldn't be afraid to add more desserts, and the skill itself would have more options to work with than the static amount added in GTW a decade ago (the latter of the two prospects being the most important).
  • QoL mods - Unobtrusive mods that add to or tweak an aspect of the game (or allow me to on-the-fly), and feel like they were always a part of it. I do also use Maxis Match CAS CC (I'm very picky about it, and often adjust the finer details and NPC restrictions using Sims4Studio).
  • I was confused for a moment until I realised you meant opening them up to use as displays (storing on, not in), rather than storage (in, not on). I meant to use them as storage, not displays. Yes, display usage would be tedious. I suppose what you'd need is a cupboard equivalent of the Snow Escape counters (or something…
  • I can't speak for MWS' system, but in Vanilla I remember just needing to invite guests, pick a spot, and have a cake ready. Most of it is very much a "you thing" with regards to if you have certain attire you'd prefer they wear, and how the venue is set up. To be honest, I haven't used the wedding system in years. Always…
  • Until they do it officially, you can do it yourself.
  • Curious Details #9: What's In The Backpack? Booted up my game and saw there was a new SDX drop just the other day. A lunchbag that functions as a food dispens- I mean cooler? Interesting. Shame none of the actual coolers were updated, but that isn't a surprise. But wait... what's this? A functional backpack? Putting aside…
  • Curious Details #8: The Aqua-Zip The Aqua-Zip feels like a dream -- as in it exists, I've used it, and every now and then I remember my sims own two of them for "His and Hers"-styled public disturbances. Yet still the Aqua Zip fades from memory the moment I cease to consider the fact we have swimmable areas in post-Sulani…
  • Curious Details #7: Bodysuits and Long Tops Over the course of both 'Simming Tips' and 'Curious Details', I've seldom ventured into CAS for more than an add-on to my gameplay-focused overviews. For a while, however, there've been a few tidbits regarding it that have piqued my curiosity. Today, we'll fish out 2 of those for…
  • Simming Tips #20: Where The Wall Things Are - Revisited It's been a while since I've done one of these, so let's jump into it. The concept of "swatches" is symbolic on paper -- each one is like a dab of paint on a palette, the player as the artist. Want to create a storybook scene? Imagine the colours and setup in your…
  • If it's just a matter of picking one, then Invite them both over, then see how/how often they interact with your sim. The one that takes the most initiative wins. If you really want a contest, then perhaps ice skating would work. For one, sims with low skill fall a lot, and that's just if they both continue skating long…
  • Golduck. I think part of it is that episode of the anime wherein Misty thought her Psyduck had evolved, and the rest is due to its weird state of typing -- it's a psychic pokemon (lore-wise) without the psychic type, and it's a fighting pokemon (aesthetics-wise) without the fighting type. Given I'm a sucker for the…
  • Been offline since the patch that brought with it the "pause movement" bug (Werewolves patch, I believe). All of a sudden I boot up Origin, go offline, and hit the icon...nothing. Again...nothing. I try restarting Origin, running in admin mode, updating my drivers, even restarting my system...nothing. Then Origin tries to…
  • Been running on motivational fumes lately. Now my game has been forcibly updated despite my precautions, so I'll take it as a sign to step away from the game for a while until at least some of the most egregious bugs [that affect my playstyle] have been fixed. This'll be the last resurfacing of this thread until my next…
  • Feel free. I didn't want to over-explain, hence the one-line descriptors, but there's so much more to each one. From their feeding habits to their genetics, and even their origins and inter-type relations. But there are only so many hours in a day, and I haven't made much progress in my updates (no one to bounce ideas off…
  • About 3 years ago I was screwing around in CAS with a vampire and realised they looked kind of like a werewolf. The short version is that that led into a spiral of making vampires that remind me of other mythological creatures. I then began giving them each powersets that matched their theme, then made them variant strains…
  • No "head turning on pause". Guess I'll be lagging behind for a few months until a mod fixes it.
  • I decorate from the perspective of the person who lives in the home/room, and it's easier to get into that mindset than it is for me to figure out the shell's aesthetic or the landscape.
  • I'm at my best when reusing a build, and I can replicate reference material and follow along with speed builds quite well. When it comes to building completely from scratch, however, I can do it, but it takes a lot of effort, motivation, and a solid idea of what I want. Most of the time I end up with something different…
