Yes. But not anywhere as blatantly and as badly as this, Sims 2 & 3 had ads that bent the reality of gameplay a little which is still annoying, but this is now a pattern with Sims 4 ads and art where they completely break the reality of the gameplay. And honestly, even if it is something they’ve always done we shouldn’t…
I’m hoping that with as well known as the Sims is, either everyone will know these ads aren’t based on any real gameplay or impressionable kids and adults won’t be swayed so easily by the false advertisement and will have at least some sense enough to research before they buy. It’s one thing to spruce up the ad a little,…
I like it, I didn’t vote for it but it’s surprisingly added a lot to my gameplay. It’s pretty cute watching a grandma teach her grandson how to knit, plus the items are cute. It’s one of my favorite stuff packs (: Edit: Still not worth $10 though. Sims packs are highly overpriced and it’s ridiculous.
I haven’t gotten to play much because I’ve been working on something else in game, but from what I have done it seems like a game pack to me. I still don’t really see where the features of this pack expand on rest of the game. Would have been cool if there were more paths to ski and snowboard, maybe hidden paths. Other…
When all this first went down I was out here defending the gurus and the devs like Boo Boo the Fool. I’ve lost respect for them too, it’s one thing to blatantly ignore your players, it’s a whole other game to accuse them of cloutchasing and then be completely silent on the issue THEY promised wouldn’t happen.
You ever see the three part superhero episodes of South Park where Cthulhu is Threatening the world thanks to an oil spill, and the oil company Is apologizing while laying on their bearskin rug? That’s how I imagine EA apologizes. Edit: I literally just woke up I can’t type I’m sorry 😂😂
The issue is the Sims team, including Lyndsey attacked someone on twitter for bringing attention to this at launch. They called him a liar and made him look terrible. They promised this wouldn’t happen, they made multiple posts about how it wouldn’t happen. Now they’re not saying anything at all about it. It’s definitely a…
I actually just became a patron of theirs tonight, the discord you get access to is lovely, the people making the game seem so nice as well. Everyone’s been really cool and it’s been really inspiring seeing so many great ideas and actually being listened to.
I agree, To be honest though I’m glad they warned everyone that the next expansion won’t be something people have been vocally asking for. This way I’m prepared for something completely off the wall and I’m either meh, or pleasantly surprised if it’s something good. I miss when they’d give us little hints, or hide things…
Yes and it bothers me greatly. It’s not even subtle, they wanted this pack to stand apart... And I mean, it does, just not in the way I think the gurus had hoped 😬
Using it for vacation would have been the only reason I’d buy this pack, I still can’t believe there’s only three lots and so many rabbit holes. It’s a very pretty world but as someone said it’s like fondant, it looks nice, but it has no good taste.
This actually makes me sad :/ one of the only reasons I was slightly happy about this pack was because of how excited occult players were, and I enjoyed reading the ideas a lot of you had. Hope they get you guys a mod to fix this soon so you can play your own Star Wars stories.
WA was a hidden treasure. Sure I’d have rather my sims have take a tropical vacation, but I never felt like I HAD to do the tombs, or like my sims were wasting their time. Family vacations to Egypt were really fun. Not my favorite pack, but it was a fun time!
I sadly think it was the last straw for a lot of us. Seeing these tweets from LGR earlier really validated how I’ve been feeling, as well as a well known modders recent tweets. Honestly I didn’t think it would get to this point but here we are I guess. I am happy for people who are enjoying the direction the games are…
I can’t even play the Sims 4 if I wanted to right now, the last patch broke my game so badly I’m afraid to open any of my saves and have no intention of making a new one. I’ve been playing Sims 2 religiously for days now, and it reminded me that while the destination of this series looks very bleak, and while it’s…
