I so am joining this chat! In the Sims 2, I Brandi Broke's third child, (named him Randy), I fell in love. o.0 He was a gorgeous emo with flowing black hair and skinnys. Yum.
I guess I may sound like a creepy but I kinda agree. EA probably shouldn't put this feature into the game but a hack or mod yes. A lot of Sims 2 players used the teen pregnancy mod and such for stories. It can be useful.
Besides story progression which I don't really like. (It freaks me out to have my sims aging without me playing although I like aging. Just only when it's in my control.) I don't like how many families are in the neighborhood. It makes it difficult to create my own town.
I heard something about their was two versions released. One with normal time settings and then the one most of us have, the slower version. Gotta wait for a patch.

Yeah, I really dont like this either. It has to do with the whole story progression thing. The toggle for turning this off is broken so we have to wait for a patch. It was a great idea but poorly executed... :/
I actually like the game quite a bit. It is really different and I am having trouble adapting. I used to use tons of hacks in the Sims 2. The only thing for me that needs to be resolved is the tedious time speeds. Happy simming! <3
I have a PC that is all upgraded and such. My game's graphics look perfect with no lag at all but the time speeds dont work. So, I join the list of people who have this. I HOPE they can fix it in a patch. I may go nuts if they dont... O:
I do admit I am longing for the Sims 2 quite a bit but the Sims 3 is a completely different type of gameplay. This time everything is more opened up. I think I am going to give it a bit more time. When, I first started the Sims 2 I actually hated it. With some patience eventually you'll eventually learn the different…
