I for one have refused to buy TS4 in any shape or form until either A) the price comes down or B) They add in crucial elements that were missing from the base game. And I know I'm not the only one. If they brought toddlers back as a patch - they'd probably see an influx in people buying the base game because now it is…
I miss the mechanics car (it'd sit in the driveway and you had to fix it up) from TS2 - it was my favorite thing! I hope they readd stuff like that - there's so many new cool cars they could add! Even if they are useless for gameplay. And hello- extra woohoo location!
That'd be cool - but the only way I see it working is if they added some supernatural elements to it sadly... Otherwise I don't think it would sell very well. I'd love to see some more of the "derelict" or "abandoned" stuff though, broken mirrors, boarded up windows, etc. That'd be super cool.
I think if they're going to redo all the "vacation" EP's theyve done - they need to come up with some major brand new selling point. I don't know how much more could really be added to the vacation idea. They covered most of it in TS3.
I think a "zoo" type thing would just overload the game way too much. If they did do a zoo, it would be a rabbithole much like the crypt in TS3 was. They do definitely need more family oriented locations and activities though no doubt. They also need more life stages - such as toddlers and preteens!
This whole thing just seems catty and stupid. If people want it, they want it. If they don't, they don't. Everyone needs to respect each others opinions and leave it at that. If online comes in - it should be optional. However, I personally do not want an online mode to exist because I think it would take the focus at EA…
I'd love to see the "home crafts" EP that was designed in the sims 3 forums put into TS4. So lots of crafting, preserve making, a wide variety of farm animals, etc... The only way I'm going to buy TS4 is if they put in farm animals! Everything else has been done before.
I really hope they put back the boarding school option, as well as the private school option - I miss schmoozing the director guy! I also hope they bring in some new courses and set it up like it was in TS2 where you'd choose a degree and it would help you out in certain career fields. More degree options would be nice too.
The people who say "Just wait for an EP, it'll get better" make me sad... You're the reason EA gets away with this stuff. They water down base games and sell everything back to you as DLC. :/
EA has been notorious for lying during this time of TS4.. I'm not surprised they lied about making the game more modder friendly. In fact, I'm amazed they even said that. After the major mess up that was Sim City If you didn't know, Basically after Sim City released, EA said it was "impossible" to make it a single-player…
They've already held a theoretical knife to the throat of TS5... They've basically said "Hey, if you don't buy TS4, and it doesn't do very well and make us a lot of money then we aren't going to make a TS5." So, It'll be a sad sad day when EA throws a hissy fit and quit The Sims Franchise because they released a bad game…
Are you crazy? The Sims 4 Costs $59.99 on Amazon, $69.99 at Best Buy, $69.96 at Walmart. Just because its cheaper on Origin (Means you just get a download, not an actual disc.) doesn't mean it's ACTUALLY cheaper... It's NOT people talking trash. Think about it. The Sims 2 games were Like $30 an Ep and $15 (??) A SP. Then…
Ah man, that sucks. I don't buy from Origin 'cause I prefer having an actual disc to hold. I don't trust Origin in the slightest. Not after that spyware incident they had.
All that money went to go fund the CEO's golden toilet... Seriously, we have spent probably billions on this game since the beginning. (From Sims 1 all the way til now). It's insane they released such a downgrade, and still had the cahones to charge us more than ever before. Bring on the FREE patches or I'm not wasting my…
I absolutely agree with you - I refused to buy the game and just played the copy my friend had bought. I am so glad I didn't waste my money on it. The flat lots are boring, the cartoon style is too cartoony for me. The limited colour options make it almost impossible for me to create full rooms that I like. I honestly hope…
What happens to the few of us who like to make our sims live in the "olden days". My favorite way to play is always to have a farm and a farmhouse. This would get in the way of that. Majorly.
It's rated T for Teen. So that's what these forums should be as well. By the way, it's not "hate". It's a justified negative opinion about something. Just 'cause you love it and think it's great doesn't mean everyone else who has a different opinion should just shut up.
Do you guys remember what happened with SimsCity 5? It was online-only and it was a mess. Ratings tanked and the company lost a lot of money. They are NOT going to do that again. Sims 4 was supposed to be an online game, until EA realized that sort of play style with their game doesn't work. There used to be an online Sims…
See the thing is though, EA isn't supposed to just remove all the problems. They're supposed to improve on them. It's the equivalent of tossing out a brand new laptop simply because there's a scratch on the cover. "Oh? They don't like rabbitholes? Let's just remove them all!" "They don't like CASt? - Poof! Gone!" "They…
