I would say "Almost always!". Usually, I'll try to set an attainable (not too challenging) LTW for my Sims and also compatible with their traits. Then, I'll utilize the points earned from fulfilling the wish on additional traits to help the Sims with other goals.

Knitting sounds great and fun! But it may not be an interesting thing to do for everyone. If it is a new hidden skill which comes with a premium set or expansion pack, maybe the concept would be feasible.
