  • I'm still playing. I set myself the challenge of using everything I ever bought and/or was gifted from the official EA content. To do this, I made separate folders for every world, so I could just install the items that fit in with that world. I have about 25 The Sims 3 folders on my computer, one for each town I play…
  • The cheap alternative to the laundromat: (Somehow she routed from her bedroom to her laundry room via the ocean... Ours not to reason why, I guess... :D )
  • I have a soft spot for Gobias Koffi. In my game he's in a relationship with Milton Tong (a homeless townie). I also like Erin Kennedy. But of the families listed, I'm torn between the Altos (Vita makes the best evil faces... >:)) and the Alvis. In the end I went with the Alvis in the poll. Here's VJ as an elder in one of…
  • I sometimes get the same message when trying to download some content from my purchase history. The difference is, I'm 100 percent sure that I actually DO own the item in question. In fact, I own the Store, MMAO machine congratulates me on owning everything, and still there are some items in my that I can't download…
  • That last fish picture is priceless!! My current world, Winchester Farming by MySimRealty (my own CAW edit).
  • My legacy heir found himself a new girlfriend after the prom. (The school is a rabbithole rug in the basement of my little red schoolhouse.)
  • I have eight saves in the "The Sims 3" folder I'm currently playing. I use a 'save as' and rotate through numbered saves. This way if my game corrupts, I can go back to the previous save and only lose a few hours of progress instead of losing everything. (I learned this the hard way!) I have twenty-odd "The Sims 3" folders…
  • My main goal is attempting to do it all. All the careers, professions, lifetime wishes, degrees, death types, lifetime reward objects, etc. Currently (after playing one particular world for seven (!!) years) I have completed all the careers and all the professions to the top level, except the Singer. There's one LTW that I…
  • Generally glitches are in your documents folder, not in the program files. I think uninstalling and reinstalling the game is really a last resort, it's a ton of work and it is rarely necessary.
  • I don't buy anything anymore. I used to gift others, but I stopped when you could only get points through Origin. I don't use Origin...
  • Mine was Mosquito Cove.
  • I have completed all the adventures except the one where your Sim needs to be burned, soaked and cursed. The few times I've actually had a Sim get cursed it was always a Sim who did not have that adventure open. If I tried to accept the adventure that Sim would always end up either defeating the mummy or just fainting…
  • ...but that is a totally different conversation. B) If I had to chose between no SPs or no third-party content, I'd get rid of all my SPs before removing my CC. And Sandy of ATS is hands-down my favourite creator - and has been since Sims 1.
  • @igazor - I realised the problem with the cheap cars and using MC/object stats, but personally I never give my Sims those cars. If they must go cheap, they can drive a Twizzy. But you're right that I should have mentioned that. I had one game where I had the exact same issue as the OP, and there was no UFO in the game.…
  • One thing that prevents aliens from being able to come and abduct you is if they don't have a vehicle. If you use a mod like Overwatch that deletes all cars from inactive households, it will unfortunately also delete the UFO from your alien household. The best way around this is to just not let OW delete all cars every day…
  • You know, it's my one and only reason NOT to play on Steam. I'd miss Sweet Treats too much. For me it's one of the better packs, because there were a LOT of items included in it, and I personally did not pay more for it than for any other pack. (I did pre-order, but I found a place that had it on sale for less than I paid…
  • I used Retuner to get rid of them in my newer games, too. In my older games there are a lot of IFs made real, and I have entire families made up of IFs in one of my older games. I should get back to that save just to see whether born-in-game IF babies get creepy dolls from Aunt Sally, too!!!
  • I would have to say Generations. I wouldn't want to miss any of them, but if I had a choice and could play with only one, it would be Generations because it added so much to my family gameplay. I think there's something to love about most EPs.
  • I'm running mine on Windows 7 on Bootcamp, and it's an older Mac, but I rarely get crashes. I do have a ton of The Sims 3 folders, I keep them separate - basically I have one folder for each world I play. (Plus one for testing, and one that has the entire Store installed for when I need missing stencils.) For me what…
  • Thread necrology, I know... But I was looking for this save game because I'm getting back to playing some of my old favorites, and this save supposedly fixed a few things in GM. The save doesn't open for me either. Something about 'expansion pack data' - which is silly, because I have every single EP installed. So it may…
  • I don't think you'll be reading this, but on the off-chance that you do: I have the same issue as was mentioned by somebody else on MTS. My Sims don't have a plumbob when I use the newest version of Niua Simoa. Everything else seems to be fine, but there's just no plumbob and I don't understand why...
  • "Bad Cowplant! Why did you eat grandma?" "I would love to get to know you better. Let's go on a date!" Raccoon in the rain: Sisters: Some more dull and colourless scenery: Katy Perry being dull:
  • @cwaddell - Amazing updates! I love Kate as a vampire. @PalmArrow - Great update. William is adorable. And wow, there are so many things kids can do, I always forget to do half of them! I'm sad for him that he didn't sell any muffings, though. :disappointed: @Mikezumi - I love your Sims boating about their grandchildren…
  • This thread moves too fast... I'm exhausted just from clicking the 'awesome' button so many times... Short update on Sveinn: Not too much happenes in Week 11. (I couldn't find very many pictures, either!) Monday is Snowflake Day. And Tuesday is a snow day - but the kids *can* all make it to the prom…
  • I want Aspyr to port it to the newer Macs. I don't care about Origin. If the Sims 2 version put out by Aspyr for Mac was complete, I would have bought that rather than download a free UC. I would gladly pay for a new port of Sims 1. I don't think I'd get it on Origin.
  • My vote is The Sims 3, followed by The Sims, then The Sims 2 and then 4. I'm actually at a point now where I have put more effort into TS3 than I did in TS1, which is quite a feat, because in TS1 I would actually spend hours and hours creating stuff... (Something I can't do in TS3, I don't have the skills for 3D…
  • I never came back to TS2. I actually more or less skipped it, playing The Sims until TS3 came out. I gave TS2 a second chance a few months ago because I was disappointed with TS4 and figured that maybe I would like it better second time around. I did like it better, but not as much as TS3. I don't like the graphics of TS2…
  • I finally have time to gather some pictures for my story. (I take WAY too many pictures and then end up having to chose...) On Thursday of week 10 the teens go on a field trip to the police station. Ava gets sick from the jail food, and decides to buy some fresh fruit to get the bad taste out of her mouth. She also finds a…
  • Oops - I've been gone for a few days and this thread just raced on... (On the bright side, I seem to have missed the brief period of 'new smilies'...) @CravenLestat - sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I do own the Store and didn't realise you were trying to gift me something. Sorry for putting you through all that…
