  • I hope they won’t use their phone on the horse 😂
  • As I said opinions are never wrong. You’re welcome to an opinion. But facts are facts, and when you lie about something, someone is going to call you out every time, whatever thread it is.
  • Don’t see that anyone did that. That’s the thing, a lot of criticism isn’t valid. When you say X has less content than Y, that’s only valid if it’s true. If it’s not it’s invalid criticism. And that will usually get called out. It’s how the internet works.
  • Not everyone is so black and white though. The majority of people have both criticisms and praise for the game and a lot of people post in both threads.
  • There’s a lot of negative comments in the positive thread too. And all over positive social media. It’s kinda how discussion works. Opinions can’t be wrong either way. But if people say something that outright isn’t true or fair generally someone else will pick them up on it whatever thread it is.
  • Well build buy and CAS will be in horse ranch too. As will new recipes, two traits, two aspirations and presumably a woohoo spot and a way to die as well as a lot challenge and enough themed build and buy to essentially build a new lot type. I believe horse ranch offers more skills to learn than SE had too. For gameplay…
  • I am late to get these kits and didn’t want to bump the old screenshot thread. Having my old sims try on new CAS is one of my favourite things to do in sims now. I like the grunge more than I expected.
  • My streamer sims went to San Myshuno Flea Market to help Pastel buy things for her room. But they didn’t find anything nice so they taught her it is better to buy nothing than spend her money on something she didn’t like. So they played basketball instead. I’m sure Pastel will find nice decorations for her room soon. For…
  • I like to think this but it’s also an expansion selling feature to some and I don’t think they’d leave that out of marketing especially when the biggest criticism is there wasn’t much in the pack. I cannot remember if they hid things like aliens and sixam from the GTW marketing, I remember they advertised mermaids for…
  • I preordered it today and my sims are ready, I’m very excited for this one. Going to move into the world and make the horses and do the CAS and build a ranch and pick the aspiration and everything 😁
  • You think? I know you said most but it’s not that unusual that the pack isn’t really worth the money if you don’t like the main theme of it. Get Together doesn’t offer too much gameplay if you’re not interested in clubs, especially since they toned down the invite to parties. Snowy Escape and Island living offer next to…
  • I haven’t had time to play sims for a while but I am back today to prepare for horse ranch. Just before growing together came out I had 3 sims, Summer Autumn and Winter who were teenage sisters. I liked to play the expansion packs with them but growing together was a good time to give them a family and grow their…
  • Fear of horses makes so much sense. I never even thought of that, but it should definetly be in the game. I’m not a big fan of fears but this one makes sense. I hope it doesn’t happen everytime they see a horse though 😂
  • I think they maybe changed strategy when the base game went free to play and the changing economy too. I think the newest GP discounts changed as well but not sure on that. Maybe they are done with 50 percent discounts altogether but can’t justify that of packs that have previously been 50 percent or something. I wouldn’t…
  • I do think it’s okay that if you’re not into horses you probably won’t be interested in horse ranch. Lots of people don’t buy vampires or werewolves because they won’t play them. And I know the same with people not buying growing together or cats and dogs because they don’t do family gameplay or pets. So I’m a bit…
  • As a British person who lives somewhat in the countryside I can see why horses were not in cottage living and also why they are in horse ranch. I do understand people think cottage living = farm expansion but it’s actually a countryside living expansion. People genuinely do keep their own chicks and hens and big crops.…
  • I worked out what I will do. I have a sim who just turned young adult in Henford and a sim who just turned young adult in Strangerville. They were going to be 2 of 4 grandparents for a legacy and were on hold while I did the other 2. They were going to eventually meet and settle in the cats and dog world. But instead I…
  • The live stream focused on the new ceilings but they are a base game feature. It’s cool they update for base game as well but then it’s not really a horse ranch thing and shouldn’t be in horse ranch stream. Perhaps it should have been pack feature and that would have been a really good feature to show off. But because it’s…
  • High School Years was released on 28th July and it had 25 percent off on Black Friday last year so it might be that horse ranch will get a discount at Black Friday or at Christmas but it will be lower than other packs. I think now it is about 35 percent discount, which is a year later. Still higher than the other EP sales…
  • I always thought it would be cooler if the potions weren’t part of being a spellcaster and just something any sim could do. The pack is very limited if you don’t pick to be the spellcaster and this could have helped.
  • It wasn’t the first pack I bought but I can’t really remember the game without it and I wouldn’t want to play the game without it. The calendar, the seasons and even the holidays are just so important to every game I play really.
  • I am missing book nook, grunge revival, fashion street and decor to the max.
  • It’s not an excuse though, it’s a rather obvious reason. Technology changed. Current gen games are more expensive to make, need more people to make, take longer to make and require more system resources than they did for the old games. People wouldn’t like it if sims packs suddenly cost 3x the price or went back to sims 2…
  • Answer to your question : It’s such a good feature. I hadn’t had time to play the family based stuff of growing together but just the compatibility alone has really changed the game for me.
  • Getting the aspiration sneak out thing is really annoying because it really does depend on being invited to a college party. In all the times I did high school years this happened twice, and both times to a sim who didn’t have that aspiration when I had others that did. I think I read that having a lot of friends, being in…
  • I understand why people compare content with older games but it’s not really fair. Technology has changed and you can’t really make a 1:1 comparison. The time and resource it takes to make things and the level of quality people expect is different than it was 15 years ago and way different than it was from sims 2. What was…
  • I really hope they stay away and populate it mostly with western looking townies. Strangerville and Snowy Escape and cottage living seemed to keep them out for the most part!
  • I know you got it in the end but for me, I found out of all the occult packs this was the least interesting if you didn’t play the occult. I don’t play as vampires but I use their B/B a lot and I’ve used the realm of magic world a lot. I don’t really like werewolves build and CAS or world that much. I also think they’re a…
  • I was one of the “oh more usa?” people when San Sequoia came out, as it felt a bit unnecessary. But I absolute love this. If they’re going to keep doing USA then this is the kinda thing I want to see. These are the parts of America that are interesting to non Americans. I’m really excited for this world. I’m hoping that…
  • I love the thread the simguru retweeted. I agree on the trophies/ribbons. In U.K. horse competitions are associated with ribbons but I guess these were already used with cottage living. Britain tends to use ribbons and cups for all competitions. But horses especially, get the rosettes. I do like the big gold and silver…
