  • What I'd really love is being able to swim in deeper ponds made in Build Mode, imagine my disappointment when I tried making a swimming hole for my sim and they'd only play in the ankle deep but I couldn't get them to venture in further.
  • If you go into Build Mode and drag the Money Tree into the household inventory the Money Fruits fall off and sit in the inventory separate from the tree, then you can place the fruits on the ground for planting in Live Mode, plus you can place the original Money Tree back on the lot. Used this to speed play rags to riches
  • Being most my plays are Rags to Riches my sims tend to live in tents or shacks they scrounged together consisting of a platform and roof parts. Sometimes they work their way up to a real house or apartment, but funny enough they seem content living rags-like even as their bank account swells.
  • I play on long seasons (28 days) and can't imagine going back to shorter ones. I enjoy being able to see actual transitions from one season to the next and having time to enjoy the weather before it totally flips again.
  • My first choice, Basement Treasures, then Greenhouse Haven Thanks for the giveaway!
  • For a while I was adding basements and/or attics too all my houses, but that stopped after I figured out I could just drag the more rarely used junk up into the roof.
  • Often when I'm daydreaming of stretching my limited budget to upgrading my GPU I'll google stuff like "GTX 950 vs GTX 1050" and see what the benchmarks say. In the case of a MX450 vs GTX 750 ti they seem to be comprable.
  • Been blocking its attempts to update itself for a while now, think I'll continue to do that for a while longer.
  • And it's been trying to update on me anyways despite having as many of the settings turned off as I can find, but I've been blocking its updates because I've figured out how to deal with it as is and would rather not have to figure out new batches of glitches.
  • Mine was completely different because I purchased Sims 4 through Steam. E:\Brad\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\The Sims 4\Game\Bin\res
  • Use to complain about them and now I miss them, especially the Get Together ones.
  • Use to have to restart the computer frequently, but killing the processes starting with EA then retrying the game seems to be working. I miss how Origin popped up briefly then just got out of my way and let me play, most of the time anyways.
  • I like the icon that now appears above the skill progress bar showing which skill it is they are working on.
  • Thanks for all the replies and sorry for not responding sooner, just need to set aside a block of time to experiment now.
  • So we may have to go through this again in the future? Oh joy
  • Started playing The Sims 4 about two years ago, guess I'm a little late to the party. Keep meaning to try the older ones but just The Sims 4 sucks up so much of my time.
  • Was forced over to the EA App a week or so ago. Occasionally get the "problem with your account" message, sometimes my game just will not come up until I give my computer a restart, otherwise Sims 4 seems to be working OK for now (fingers crossed). If there was a way to switch back to Origin I would.
  • Used MCCC for a while but got tired of having to update it and have pretty much figured out how to accomplish the same things with the current game mechanics and cheats or just become less bothered by the short comings. Only CAS CC I use is some single piece swimsuits for my female sims because I think the in game ones…
  • Have her try writing at a different location like a library, it'll tell you if the issue is her or the location. Try disabling CC, a while back I encountered an issue of MCCC interfering with my sim's writing.
  • Initially I manage to get by without it but often have to enable it when a prohibited placement of something just doesn't make sense. When modifying something already in the game or something from the gallery I try to remember to enable MOO first because I've often seen a major chunk just disappear and end up having to…
  • My new favorite is what I call Death by Bunny. With testingcheats on shift+click on the intended victim and select "Add to Family". Once you have them in your household make them the active sim then shift+click, select "Kill..." then "Be Slain by a Vicious Killer Rabbit". Then enjoy the show as the murderous rabbit pops up…
  • Couldn't put it off any longer, tonight the only choice I was given was to install the EA App or just not play. Going to miss Origin, it worked well with Steam, but with the EA App I got the dreaded "Something wrong with your account" pop-up and had to restart the computer to get the game to come up. That's going to get…
  • You could terrain sculpt a tall hill and build your light house on top of it. Seen many images of shorter lighthouses built on top of tall rocky hills and I think they look pretty cool.
  • When moving in select the option to remove everything (furniture, walls, etc), then not pay rent till the repo sim shows up and they'll suck up the stinky drain and rat holes and everything trying to collect enough then finally give up. Definitely not quick, but this is the only way I've seen it happen.
  • Would like to have variable depths, just about all pools I've seen have a shallow end of about 3 feet deep and gradually deepen to typically 10 to 12 feet deep. Even the shallowest swimming pools in Sims looks like a freaking scuba practice diving tank.
  • Jungle Adventure was probably the first pack I bought, only one I paid full price for, and have no regrets. I've always played it single sim, the thought of trying to keep multiple sims under control kind of scares me. Use to explore the whole jungle in a single go with supplies for the needs or reward traits that dampen…
  • Trying to squeeze in on this one. Thriller (hosts that cut off or talk over Vincent Price's dialog at the end is a MAJOR peeve for me) And the first Hocus Pocus, haven't gotten around to seeing the second one.
  • Had to disable it when the "dead end job" fear stopped my sim's career progression and I went through the frustration of it not staying solved for very long after I managed to find solutions. Having to frequently re-disable the thing makes it double frustrating.
  • Seasons. I put off getting this one for so long because I was convinced I'd have more fun without the hassle of rain and cold and lightening and such but after a while I got bored with only nice sunny days. It made gardening much more fun and challenging with plants growing only during certain seasons (unless sheltered)…
