  • In one I built, I have a basketball hoop/court, a water slide, and a small game room that has the big 4 player arcade machine, the motion gaming mat, and a foosball table.
  • I've seen them grab a toy and play with it if it's sitting on the tile next to playpen too. If you direct them to grab it, they will call to be taken off the playmat, but they seem to be able to grab it on their own so I always leave a toy next to it as well. Another possible time saver would be getting rid of the changing…
  • The household's first born, Allie, finally became a teen:
  • The toddler quirks definitely add some personality. I gave the family's toddler the fussy trait with quirks of hates wake up time, picky eater, and destructive. Today, she lived up to her reputation. She woke up in a rare good mood and decided she needed to immediately head downstairs to smash the dollhouse. Hoping to…
  • I'm enjoying it more than the other Sims in the infant's household are enjoying it. First attempt at tummy time with the infant and the toddler was nearby and got jealous. He has spent every day since being sad and mad about "no attention" and "nobody has time for me" and constantly crying no matter if both parents spend…
  • Del Sol Valley isn't a desert world, lol. It's basically the LA area. Just because deserts have warm weather doesn't mean everywhere warm is a desert.
  • I was in the camp of people that was never interested in adding horses to the game and I didn't really have any interest in country/ranch gameplay. But I gotta say, I'm actually pretty stoked for this pack. Once the family is filled out and I freeze aging, I'm planning on eventually moving them to their own ranch when I…
  • To me, Oasis Springs feels like Palm Springs. Chestnut Ridge feels more like Montana or Wyoming. I don't think it's accurate to label it as just another "desert" world, at least from what we've seen so far. Almost all the EP's are niche though. EP vs. GP is determined by how much is in the pack, not the theme.
  • I don't mess with all that. I use MCCC to bump up the club member count. My Family Club has 11 members and additional ones can be added by simply "inviting" them to join the club directly. It's a very easy way for me to get all the family members together for a BBQ or something like that. It's also helpful because the…
  • Not the same, but you can put them in the back carrier and take them on walks. It's kind of funny when they take a snooze in them while you're walking around with them.
  • I did an interaction once not long ago, impress with video game prowess or something like that with a neighbor, thinking it was a bragging interaction, not a flirting interaction. His wife got ticked, jealous, etc. and their romance bar dropped to half. Took awhile to fully fix the relationship too. Might have been…
  • Great thread! I wanted to make some family portraits but without their pets and also wanted to include some with the grandparents. Using an idea I saw posted somewhere about transferring photos to households by saving a room with the photos, I saved my main family and both households with the grandparents and used them in…
  • You can walk out of the back of the basement to the backyard instead of it being entirely underground.
  • I haven't been getting the move-in requests but my Sim is getting the best friend request spam like there's no tomorrow. He was at his last semester of college showering in the dorms. His girlfriend lived in the same dorm and was showering one stall over. Out of nowhere this female friend of his just shows up in the dorm…
  • The interaction to directly adopt any child in the game through an interaction with them is definitely new and came out either with Growing Together or as part of the related Infants update. It was billed by devs as one of the new features of the pack and this is what the OP was asking about:
  • Ok, you can let me out now, I'm ready to take over your entire day! What? You said lay here and look cute. Watch your fingers, I'm hungry! Mmmm, this tastes good too.
  • There was already adoption through the computer, but it was just randomly generated kids. The OP is referring to the new feature in Growing Together where you can just click on a child like a normal interaction with them and "adopt child" is a new option. No prior relationship needed. The child is instantly adopted and the…
  • Wonder if it has anything to do with the Windows update? I did the Windows update on my PC and it worked fine after that.
  • Yeah, I ended up just letting her cry through the initial "loud noises" reaction and left the music on and she was fine. Not long after that, she started wiggling to the music on her own.
  • For the family I've been playing, I don't see their infant with the Cautious trait ever getting the Learned To Dance milestone on her own. She starts crying hysterically with a "Loud Noises" reaction every time there is any music (except Lullabies) or if the TV is on. Even putting the speaker on low volume doesn't help. I…
  • My sim had his high school graduation and a random infant from one of the non-played households decided to show up. No one from her household was even graduating. Nobody could interact with her because they hadn't been introduced to her. She finally got bored of crying and went to sleep on the sidewalk while graduation…
  • Tried out the family reunion event on a secondary save I've been using to test infants. Selected the grandparents' house as the location because it's much bigger and I had already set the house up for infants to test stay overs. It was going well at first and then quickly turned into an epic fail because little Madison got…
  • This is a bad screenshot I took on my phone when it happened, but you get the idea. She couldn't crawl yet and the cat is aloof and rarely near anyone. So it was a lengthy process for her to get there each time. Hey, kid, if you want to sleep on the kitchen floor, then whatever floats your boat, lol.
  • Do you have any pets? My sims kept putting the infant down when I was trying to put her in the crib and it turned out it was because she kept wanting to sleep next to the cat when she was tired. Had to start canceling that out to prevent it from interfering with putting her in the crib.
  • May just take awhile. I had to do learn to crawl a LOT to get that.
  • When I was playing yesterday, it worked fine. Each time the infant took a bite of the finger foods, there was a little improvement in the hunger meter. So I'm not sure what happened before but I'll keep an eye on it to see if it happens again.
  • The explore foods option does improve their hunger need. It won't fill it. But if the infant is at 50% on the hunger meter, doing the explore foods option twice in a row will get them to nearly full on hunger. The finger foods one though seems to provide no hunger benefit at all and I've seen the hunger meter actually…
  • The infant's hunger motive is going down while eating finger foods. Is that supposed to happen? Works fine for the other feeding option though.
  • Agreed....not sure how a full assessment of an EP can be performed on the basis of 1 trailer.
