Just letting you all know that I'm going to be spending more time at another Sims site. I'm not caring for the atmosphere on this one nowadays. The other one is more welcoming.

  • Picky, picky, picky!
  • The only time I exited without saving after a Sims death in TS3, is when the single Sim I was playing was killed by a meteor. I decided I didn't want to start a new Sim, so I went to main menu without saving.
  • I will remain skeptical of the "we can do it" pile until I see it actually being done. Until then, the word of the day is: "Things change."
  • That's what we're saying. The ONLY way that they could be put into an expansion pack without having to rewrite the base game code when it comes to life stages is to put them in a special environment like they did the Young Adults in Sims 2 University. You're not thinking logically if you have the idea that by offering them…
  • To the OP: I went back and skimmed over your original post and the impression I got is that you're straddling both sides of the fence. In other words, you're trying really hard to play neutral on this, but I'm sorry, you're coming across as anything but. I'm told you don't even have this game. That being the case, why come…
  • You are right. I said in another thread in General Discussion that I used to look forward to the next expansion pack and even stuff packs. I don't anymore. Again, I blame the Corporation for that. They've created a high level of dissatisfaction by not taking the time and care to create the kind of game that fans expected:…
  • It's not being positive when the person feels the need to imply that fans are being illogical and overreacting for not liking The Sims 4, or when their only purpose for coming into a complaint thread like this one is to complain about the complainers and state that they're tired of reading the complaints. Here's what the…
  • I will start doing that when they stop complaining about the negativity in the forums, and stop blaming the fans for not liking the game, instead of the game developers for making such a poorly thought out product and expecting us to not only like it, but continue to throw money at it in hopes that the game will some day…
  • While there are a few games that have lasted ten years or longer, those are mainly online games. I don't see The Sims 4 lasting that long because I don't think many of the players are going to want to stick around that long for the same ole, same ole. You might think this game will age well, but it's already dated. Will…
  • That's exactly what I, and several other players, have been trying to explain to those who say "Oh, yes, we'll get them in an expansion pack." It's a bad idea. Not only would it break the continuity of family play, but you'd have to choose to send the baby to a separate location right after it aged up to toddler. An easy…
  • I predict that the same people who continuously defend this game are going to keep on wearing their rose colored glasses while continuing to throw their money at EA and buy everything that they offer for this game, regardless of what it is. It's to the point where I no longer care what the next expansion pack or game pack…
  • It says something about the quality of this game, doesn't it, when out of all the comments on this six-page thread, there's only a small handful of people who insist that the game isn't boring to them, and in one case, tried to blame burn out for the negativity. I don't know that burn out is the word to use. The only word…
  • I think the reason that most people are against the idea of toddlers being given to us in an expansion pack, besides the fact that they should have been included in the base game to begin with, is that the toddlers would be limited to that one expansion pack, and more than likely wouldn't fit in with the other expansion…
  • They ought to have a Visitors Allowed/No Visitors allowed toggle for a generic lot. I think some developer once said it was intended to use as a private getaway for your Sims. Well, phooey on that Louie! Make it generic so I can make a no-tell motel out of it that npc Sims can visit and maybe use some of the facilities,…
  • There was CC for that in the Sims 3. It was based off the gloves, and toenails were based off the socks. Don't know if there's CC for that for TS4, though.
  • And you'd see more positive threads if EA had been smarter and not tried to turn an online game into an offline game, and ended up stripping 80% of the features that Sims players had grown used to in the previous iterations. The company shot itself in the foot by creating conditions which left many many players unhappy and…
  • Sorry, I'm not seeing the positive. I'm waiting for the next expansion pack or game pack to decide whether it's positive or just more of the same ole', same ole. At this point I'm skeptical that anything new will be of the quality we came to expect with the other iterations of this game. So far, it looks…
  • Oh, really? THIS is a positive thread? I don't think so. And when was the last time you ever saw me post on the Favorite Screenshot thread or the Sims Happy Play thread? I'll tell you when: Never. That's because I have nothing to contribute to those threads and so I stay clear of them. No, don't blame me for the fact that…
  • It's not unprecedented for this company to shut down a forum when they consider it no longer useful, or when they have an ulterior motive. Case in point: The Sims 2 forums remained open for a few years even after the Sims 3 was released before they were shut down. Not so the Sims 3 forums, though. The Sims 3 forums were…
