It's actually r-i-diculous, as in ridicule or the Latin ridiculum. Just thought I should point that out. It's a pet peeve of mine every time I see it misspelled. :-)
Not really, no. They will do things like pick up books, take objects (klepto), and occasionally there are glitches where a sim just walks off with something (remember the disappearing babies?). They won't buy or sell things on their own though.
You need to provide more information, ie: What GPU (video card) are you using. Had you updated drivers at all? The usual stuff, it really helps folks trying to make an educated guess to help you. If you have an ATI card, they recently released new drivers on Dec 16th.
Before doing any of the below, you should back up the files discussed. I had this issue when I moved to Windows 7 and reinstalled TS3. What I did to resolve it was delete mods, completely clear out the downloads folder and deleted the compositorCache.package files located in the following folder:…
Meh... I don't see any reason to get uppity about anything in the WA expansion. The game uses some general cultural atmosphere for entertainment... it's not meant to be a cultural encyclopedia and expecting it to be is silly. That's just my opinion of course.
Yes, because courteously assuring people that the issue is being looked into and they will get back with more info when they have it is totally out of line. Your village called, they have a newly built bridge to inhabit.
The entire time I read snippets of posts from this negativity extravaganza, all I heard in my head was Francis from Left 4 Dead saying "I don't like [insert plural noun here]."
It is most commonly recognized from the Saturday Night Live skits which were fairly amusing, basically a person who always comes up with some reason everyone should not be enjoying their party, life, job, food, etc... (I remember one in particular with Ben A. where they cast couldn't stop laughing and had hard times…
You can go to the graveyard and use the 'Manage' option at the mausoleum. I discovered I had to do this to place the gravestone of a sim that died while in town.
Vista is a lame duck at this point (not that it was ever a very good OS to begin with), I'd either hold off or make sure to do one of the deals offering a free upgrade to 7. Windows 7 is the way to go, it's due to release in October. It has all the good things (improvements) from Vista, minus the terrible performance,…
I find it hilarious that the person who started this thread complaining about signatures had himself a signature that caused a username/password prompts to irritate users on this forum for about half a week before it was addressed. Color me amused. I don't even have a sig, I must be awesome or something!
Sorry but I have to disagree. Not because I support said plagiarism, but because your proposed end result is, in my opinion, absolutely and completely ludicrous. There are too many people who are more than willing to continue to upload and create regardless of a few clowns who either don't know better or upload other…
To be fair, I haven't seen it in the game. It might look better there. On the forum avatars it makes the women look like they sprayed a ton of aqua-net on it and then teased up the hair trying to desperately hide the fact they are thinning and suffering from hair loss.
Preemptive Disclaimer: Pardon me if I'm not socially graceful here (that doesn't mean I have some disorder either), you may hate me for what I'm going to say but I'm going to say it anyway in the interest of concern. Bear in mind this has no reflection on anyone in this thread and whether or not they have said conditions.…
My take on this silliness... Create to create and share to share, if you are worried about credit and/or plagiarism you are going to be miserable. There are going to be copycats and plagiarists, especially in a medium such as this. You either a) grow a thick skin or b) stop uploading. That's pretty much the only two…
Well, I personally think they just don't want the bother of it. Both maintaining, policing and dealing with issues raised. As for children, the internet, and who should be responsible... the parents. If you make others accountable for what is your responsibility - you have no excuses for the results. It is my firm opinion…
I really like the idea of the store - where I can pick and choose the content I pay for. However... The current prices put me off of actually using it. For the price of some of the things/sets I might like I can purchase an entirely NEW game or two. I think they over-reached with the pricing, and it's putting a lot of…
I didn't even realize it was an issue. I stopped reading the technical forum though, too many abusive people. I have tried it with both IE and Firefox and it seems to work fine with both on mine. The log in after logging in sounds like a cookie issue?... but I'm not positive on that. Edit: Only suggesting it as I know the…
Eh, it goes with the territory. The Sims 3 title was bound to get a huge amount of attention. That combined with the fact that many Sims players (fanatics even :) ) tend to be extremely vocal - and you have a gigantic blender with no spill guard. It all just goes shooting in every direction when you push the button. It'll…
