I just watched Odessa Winchester swish and gargle her nectar. I have been playing this game since it launched, I got WA on day one, and I have never seen a Sim do this before. I love this game.
Open Origin by clicking on the Origin icon, not the game. Click on the word Origin in the upper left. Select play offline. Exit Origin, disconnect from the internet and then start the game. You should be good to go.
What about Forgotten Hollow? The batfish and wolf eels could take the place of sharks. From the rocks and stuff already in the water away from shore it might be easier to change the code from fx to actual game space.
No problems. I have a mid-range Skytech desktop rig from 2018. Nividia 2050 I think. Avira anti virus suite. Vanilla game. I deleted Norton years ago. I played online for about an hour and offline for 2 or 3 and game ran fine.
The fix I used was to register them as self employed. I would set Vlad up as a pipe organ composer for example. I haven't done that lately so I don't know if it still works. You could give it a try.
My newest cheat is to set the lot to tiny, put in a little 32 square box and then stretch the roof across the whole lot. Add the thermostat and everything under the the roof is "house". I get all the benefits of a micro house but no space restrictions. Add the big tents for bedrooms and off I go.
That happens to me too. When it does I go exit origin, connect to the internet, log back into origin, and select play offline. That usually fixes it until the next origin update.
I cheat money, satisfaction points, aspiration goals, bb unlocks, and real estate whenever I feel like it. The grind is boring after the nth thousand time. I also have sims I don't cheat with because sometimes I like the challenge. But that is getting much less frequent and I ditch those saves faster. Maybe if there were…
Any word on the green, blue, or red skintones getting an update or sliders? Am totally aware that that is not the point of the update. I am just curious because I play a lot of fantasy Sims.
I am so sick of queue stomping. Its not herding cats, its pounding sand. And when the game just empties out MY commands for stupid idles it is infuriating.
This thread has made try for a store that sells them again. I like the GTW potions and the ROM potions but I get sick of hunting bugs and rocks all the time.
I keep meaning to set up a store to sell them. Mainly so I can get the ones I need without bloating my inventories. But I usually just sell them off after I complete the collection and hang the certificate on the wall.
I like it. The missions are really simple and quick so I kind of wish there were more of them. I already finished one play through with triplet wonder children. My favorite is the scoundrel missions. If I could change a thing I would set it so that after you finished the 3 storylines a livable lot would unlock in each…
It's almost October! I keep a schedule for when I can play this game so I don't burn out. I think I have been waiting for October since March. Who is still playing this year? Any new players?
Old apocalypse challenge trick is to put the fridge in a small room and lock the door. We do it because there are restrictions on how many times you can cook but it might work on your butler too.
My opinion, the engine is overloaded/cracking. Some how I don't think that 6 years ago when they repurposed this engine that they planned on so much content over such a long time, or that they coded for all this stuff. Its just going to get worse until they hit the wall. Same reason for all the bugs we deal with.
