  • Thanks! I'll check it out :)
  • Mine was strangely similar to the OP's. My sister and I were playing The Sims 1 for the second time. You remember the Pleasant family? Well, since we didn't know what we were doing, we chose that family and moved them into that small, cheapo white house. We actually left the game running while we went to get our lunch. Our…
  • Thanks so much for the feedback! I will definitely check this out the next time I have problems. I actually started over in a new town because Roaring Heights was having some lag issues, and I was kind of just fed up with all of it at the time. However, I did make sure to keep the other save file in case I found a…
  • Thanks for the response! I tested with two other Sims but got the same result. Thankfully, I haven't noticed it being game-breaking or anything, so that's good. I'll have to play around some more and see if it's maybe linked to something else. I can at least say it's not mod-related. Think I'll also try repairing/resetting…
  • I'd also like to double that "stereo" glitch. Each stereo I own now has orange sound waves/music notes (where before, they were blue) that continue to animate, even when the stereo is broken or off. Speaking of broken stereos, as soon as I played the game after the update, I noticed that any object my Sims used broke…
  • I'm so glad that I decided to ask about this because I didn't even know the "Repair" option even existed. I've replayed the game a couple times and haven't had that problem at all, so, thanks again :)
  • Hey, thanks so much for the response! So, I've been trying out your suggestions in order, and so far, it seems like repairing the game actually worked! I actually thought that removing the mods would work, seeing as I have none installed on my laptop version of the game that doesn't have this bug, but that wasn't it. But…
  • Sorry for the delayed response (been busy), but I just wanted to add on to what you said. I agree. It's actually pretty odd that they made the mechanic of "doing laundry" follow the rules of "if there's a hamper in the room, clothes will go in hamper; else, throw on floor". You'd think if they were going to use hampers to…
  • Yeah, that seems like an awesome idea. I did try the hampers out, and they helped quite a bit, but I figured out the only way they work legitimately is if you have one in every room. I put them in the bedrooms and bathrooms and even the first room they enter from outside, and I still got tons of clothes because I forgot…
  • ^ Same, I meant to check this out earlier this week but forgot all about it. Have you or has anyone else done this for the other games yet? It's a really good idea!
  • It kind of reminds me of restocking the refrigerator in TS2. I thought it was cool that it was there (you know, more realistic), but it was such a hassle. Sometimes, I would get so impatient and upgrade the fridge every so often. Unfortunately, in that game, it wasn't optional. So, yeah, I am quite thankful that laundry is…
  • @Sincerbox - Ok, cool! Thanks for the info! :) @ddominic - I'll have to check that out. I'd love to place my vote! @BSIRegina - Yeah, that town is pretty messy. I always thought it was just because there was a family that had routing problems (I think they were, like, the Scott family or something, apparently, they were…
  • Okay, I'm sorry for this lengthy post, but please bear with me. Despite me being the creator of a thread based around conversing, I totally failed at responding to people on time ^^;. So, I tagged people below. (Note: If I didn't respond to you, it's only because I didn't know exactly what to add, so, don't take it…
  • To answer some questions (sorry, I ended up being busier this week than I had thought haha)... I should probably have posted what my favorites were first so there wasn't any confusion. I have Ambitions, Generations, Pets, Seasons, University Life, and Island Paradise. I always have a hard time choosing my favorite one, but…
  • Ok, cool, thanks! I'll check them out. :)
  • Ok, that's good ^^ And yeah, that makes sense. When I tried it out that one time, I treated it like its own game, and I was surprised at how engrossing it was.
  • haha Well, that's cool, thanks for checking in on me! I agree. The Sims is one of those series that digs its claws into you and refuses to let go. Whenever an expansion came out for the past games, I was always so tempted to buy it because they did a very good job at expanding the game in every way (well, at least for…
  • Thanks for the feedback, guys! To show my appreciation, I responded to all of you individually (below) as I was reading down through the responses. The more I read, the more you all got me thinking about how I should make the right decision (quite philosophically, I might add), and for that I am grateful I think I just…
  • @Scrapdash‌ - Yeah, I know. It's bizarre and kind of frustrating haha. @gnlovew‌ - Yeah, that's what happened to me in Twinbrook. They'd constantly try and take one and just sit there because they were stuck. @igazor - That's why I sometimes hate the inactives' AI. The routing issues cause a lot of problems. Anyway, thanks…
  • That's a good idea. I found out that I only have this problem with one of my saved files; the other ones work just fine. I'll have to try that and see if it works. Thanks for the suggestions!
  • First of all, sorry for the late response. For, like, a week or so, the site wouldn't keep me logged on. @jaletu2005 - I know exactly what you're talking about. The first time that happened to me, I wondered why it was taking so long for my Sim to get his butt back home. I like the water taxis and all, but you can tell…
  • I dunno, Bella. Doesn't look like you'd make it past Night 1. lol That is one of the best Sim expressions ever! I probably would have used Freddy and his pals too. I'll have to come back to this and see if I can come up with something to Photoshop in there. :) Good job, by the way!
  • That's cruel. I'm glad they're cleaning that all up then.
  • Oh, the puns xD You're killing me!
  • That's ok. I was going to mention that to you, but I figured you'd have caught that yourself. I'll take your word for it, though lol. That's crazy.
  • @kovu0207 - I agree. I mean, trolls were trolls and disagreed with posts a lot, but at least if you posted something legit, there would be Agrees that countered the pointless Disagree(s). I've never been flagged, but I have seen where it's been abused a few times. (Edit: Just noticed the irony of the first sentence I…
  • Could you really be auto-banned for that? That is a scary thought. They should have made it so that when someone disagreed with a post, they had to elaborate on why that was or at least had the mods read your "list of disagrees" to make sure you were legit. That's just my opinion, though.
  • I hated the way Disagrees were sort of treated because sometimes people would troll and disagree with a factual post you made, but I liked the Agrees to an extent because it was always nice to see that people...well...agreed with something you posted. I hope they at least add other buttons, though, because Like and LOL…
  • I almost forgot about that! That was a pretty cool feature. I miss cool, little features like that! Speaking of calling in to keep the bus from coming, I also miss in the Nightlife ep how the carpool wouldn't show up when you claimed a car for your sim(s). I really don't understand why they didn't make that a thing in TS3…
