All I have to say is.. teehee. This thread is about 50,000 years old. Though I'd be fine enough having bunk beds in TS4's base game. Let's pretend that that's what this thread is about, yes? Oh, look at how many have signed!
I like both realistic and supernatural/out-there elements. I don't see why we shouldn't have both so long as it's controllable. They've done a fairly good balance (not perfect) of both in TS3, so why not continue on and perfect it? Haha! I love this idea and can definitely see it in action in my head. If they don't add…
When they added Hearthfire I was so excited. It made the game more Simslike. Saints Row did a few things like that, too, and I just loved it. I can't think of a game I'd like more than if those games were turned into a Sims environment with control and customization to that extent. I'd even preorder it, no questions asked.
The last picture is too adorable. I wouldn't mind them handing the idea off to another company at all, and I like your ideas. I'd love a Sims game with themes similar to those found in Skyrim and Fallout. But maybe that's just me.
I just got your answer for you, about the school at least, from Sim Guru Lauren on Twitter. "There isn't a school in Oasis Landing, but you can Edit Town and place one if you want to!" There you have it! She's currently taking questions via @TheSims3 if you hurry over there.
I don't think that it's stupid that they have announced the game already. What I do think is stupid is that they don't have more to show us yet, and that they've mentioned things that would obviously upset the fanbase already. You can preorder it already, but what is it like? What will the neighborhoods look like? What as…
Sims VIP is great for news. I've kept an eye on Twitter the past few days, but the Gurus are sticking to talking about TS3 things for now. There really isn't much information at all about The Sims 4 right now. Certainly not enough to satisfy my own personal curiosity anyway. The very little bit of info that has come out…
I agree to this, and in fact was just thinking this several times over the last few days. I use a mod to make the days longer, but I'd at least like the option to be in the game. Especially since Sims seem to take an (in my opinion) unreasonably long amount of time to do certain things. It's even worse because I usually…
Oooh, I like this thread. I actually like the dentist idea. It would be hilarious watching Sims have their teeth poked at. But I'm a horrible person. Speaking of parties, I'd love for Sims to be able to share a birthday party in a better way if their birthday is on the same day. I don't like how parties work in…
I'd love to see a lot more of these things, with animations. As much as I like decor, if something normally would have an actual function in life besides being a statue or a vase, I think it ought to also have animations. Vacuums and ironing would be too cute. Sewing machines and lawnmowers would make my day~
Haha, this exactly. I suddenly can't help but wonder in horror if any game makers are imagining a future where buyers will pay full PC/Console game price for little squibbly iPhone games. Best not to think about that. *shudders* In all seriousness, I really hope they don't mellow down the series even more. I keep hearing…
I'm very, very, very interested in this subject. Creating worlds is one of my favorite things to do with the game. I've made two huge worlds with custom buildings and everything, and planning on a third soon enough. Is there any official news about this anywhere? I've been nosing around a lot and haven't seen any, but if…
Oops, got a bit sidetracked. I didn't know about this, but dear god that is unpleasant to read. For some reason it hadn't crossed my mind, but it's absolutely true that it takes at least several years to develop a game. If it really were in its early stages still.. well, that wouldn't say much for the outcome of the game…
Agree 100%. I want full control at all times with very few exceptions. There have been quite a few times when the entire plot I was playing out was ruined because my Sims were forced to deal with something ridiculous and I couldn't cancel it. Having to use mods to correct the issue is silly.
Sure thing! I would have liked more solid answers, too. I guess it's pretty early to get much straight information about TS4 yet. I think Ryan looks a bit tired in recent interviews. He's probably not allowed to say a whole lot, either. I'd feel tired too if everyone was asking me a million questions and I couldn't really…
*signed* Even when TS4 comes out, I'll still be playing TS3 for several years to come I'm sure. I've put too much into it, and enjoyed it too much, to just shelve it.
They've mentioned some very interesting concepts during interviews. That's why I'm not in a rage over things they've admitted they're leaving out. At least, not yet. I don't mind TS4 being very different from previous games. It really does need to be good, though. I think I'll be able to tolerate the graphics (I personally…
I plan to update one of my super large modern houses with a lot of futuristic furniture when ItF comes out. I have yet to prepare my Sim families for time travel, but it's not a bad idea. I want to play through the expansion and see what it has to offer before I decide on any stories to play out, though.
I was thinking this too, to be honest. I think it will be spread out over many expansions/stuff packs/store sets, not all crammed into the base game. Granted, you won't hear me complaining if it were all crammed into the base game. Not one bit.
I'm pretty sure that the idea of these graphics being bad because they will help the game lag less was made up by fans. If I recall correctly, Sim Guru Ryan said something about this not being the case. Can anyone confirm this? Honestly, the game does not lag for me on full settings. The loading times are very reasonable…
