I just took a look at that. It kind of reminds me of the Building Newcrest challenge except with Willow Creek and Oasis Springs. It sounds like fun but a lot of work, too. Also, it looks like I'd need Dine Out, and I don't have that pack yet.
Hello all! It's been a long time since I last visited this forum, but I'm hoping to get back into the community and maybe start a story or few for funsies! Thing is I'm not sure what kind of story to do. It's been a while since I've tried to do a legacy challenge, so I might do that. Or I might try another challenge of…
@CathyTea Hmmm... I guess I have been kind of binge-playing. Maybe I should take a break? Thanks for letting me know about the differences between the Lounge and the Fringe. :) In TS2, I'd never even heard of legacy challenges and all that. I just played however I wanted. LOL And then, in Sims 3, I'd heard about legacy…
I guess I'm feeling like I have a lot of issues right now with The Sims and boredom and a few other things. Man, I have a lot of pictures to sort through and resize and all that for the stories I've been doing. And I just keep adding more and more because I keep playing more and more. So, I feel a little overwhelmed…
I've written up the start of a new story! My Weird Roommates What do you get when a vampire, a witch, an eldritch entity trapped in the body of a cat, a garden fairy, and a completely normal (though also completely naive) guy decide to room together in a large castle? Wacky hijinks, that's what! I hope y'all enjoy! :)
Yeah, it's a tricky thing. And again, this is a very interesting idea, and you seem to have a pretty good grasp on story-writing and stuff! (I hope I don't come across as critical or anything; merely curious and interested and trying to figure out how to join in on the fun. :) ) Anyway, I don't mind being confined by…
Hmmm. That might be a bit difficult to do since the story you have is still in development, which means you probably got ideas for how things are supposed to go that your blog commenters wouldn't be able to even guess at. I mean, I understand where you're coming from with wanting to keep a universe consistent. I'm all…
This sounds really interesting, and I'd love to create a character to comment, but I noticed in another thread (the Phantasmal Fantasy reading circle) that you mentioned you didn't want characters that are in other stories. So, what if we created a character just for this, and then decided we wanted to give them a story?…
This is the Carr family tree. It's the legacy I have done the most work on so far. Anyway, as you can see I haven't gotten very far. Anyway, the founer is Rose Carr. She married Zoe Patel. Using MC Command Center, I got Rose pregnant twice (because I wanted them to have similar genetics to their mothers). The story is that…
I haven't updated it in a while, but I haven't forgotten about it, and I've been thinking about continuing it soon. It's my Carr legacy. It was originally a collaborative legacy, but most of the others have disappeared. But I'm still really attached to the characters. Anyway, Rose (the founder) ends up meeting the girl of…
So, I felt sad about it, but I deleted my Elise Robinson legacy because I just don't have any inspiration for it anymore. I still have my Rose Carr collaboration legacy; although, it seems like a lot of the original players of that collaboration legacy have disappeared. I want to continue it because I still really love the…
So, I was thinking about starting a new legacy (mostly vanilla with the exception that there will also be a pet following along with the legacy i.e having puppies for generations and generations). And I thought maybe doing the pen pal thing could add a cool dynamic. Should I go ahead and write up a profile for my Sim and…
Hmmm.... Well, there could be a couple of different things. Like a CAS challenge where you try to make an owner and a pet look alike. Or maybe like... a Petacy? Where you start off with a normal legacy except you add a dog or cat to it?
I think you do need an adult present. So technically, you're creating a family or families. Some people just made up single parent Sims since that's easier. I went kind of overboard myself. You can find the Sims other people made by searching the hashtag carrlegacygen2 Make sure to add #carrlegacygen2 to the description…
I think I shall hold off until Sunday, I think, for @Emug18 and @cmbaker16 to upload child sims to the gallery. If they make some afterwards, I'll keep them for Gen 3... or if it's not more than four or five days in the triplets child years I'll download them for Gen 2.
I'm having a hard time coming up with a coherent theme/ideas for this Harvest Moon challenge. Grrr. I'll think of something eventually! I figured I'd start off with a male Sim this time instead of a female one like I've been doing.
Trying to hold off from playing any more of my Rose legacy for now. Wanna try and hold off so that way I can add the created child sims of the new people. I don't want anyone to feel left out!
The plants plus the counters plus whatever else you've bought might be contributing to the high bills. If you can't afford the six hundred simoleons, I would recommend downsizing. But if you can, then keep things as they are. The bills are gonna get higher. That just happens as you play. My Rose pays about 1500 in bills.…
@Emug18 When the Sims file you're playing reaches a certain amount of Sims (about 180, I think), it starts deleting Sims to save space. It usually starts with dead Sims since I guess the game figures no one will miss them as much as live Sims. The term for this happening is called "culled."
@Emug18 Hmm. The silhouette could be a Sim that was culled, maybe? I'm not 100% sure. I thought culled Sims just disappeared, but maybe they show up in a family tree as a silhouette?
@panthergirl2 Hmm. Weird. That doesn't happen to me. Could it be any custom content causing trouble? @Emug18 No idea why your bills are so high. Do you have a lot of plants on the lot?
