I very much feel this. It's the not knowing how long a period like this lasts that makes it hard for me, especially because I always want everything to be planned out. Uncertainty causes me so much stress that it just makes it all harder.
I play exactly like this! It's my special interest too, it has been for 7 years which is why it makes me so sad that it doesn't bring me the joy it used to. I suppose it makes sense though, since I don't have a job because of chronic illness and I spent my days just playing video games
@cyncie That makes a lot of sense actually. I've been doing bad mentally for a while now and am constantly stressed. When I think about it, the times where I'm most stressed is where I find myself not having as much fun with TS4 (or other sandbox type games for that matter) as I did otherwise
@Chicklet453681 I have been thinking of trying out some different mods that add some cool gameplay, like I found an extended archaeology mod that adds dig sites and artifacts to all the worlds. Could you recommend some mods that add whims. I thought it might be fun to play with a sim completely based on their whims, but…
@CK213 That's the exact problem I have. Everything just kind of feels like a chore instead of fun gameplay. The thing is, I've done just about everything there is to do in the game at this point so many times over and I think that's what's making me feel burnt out. All of the gameplay I used to love feels stale now because…
@logion @Nate_Whiplash1 Glad to hear I'm not the only one. I've tried a fair share of challenges and some of the new more challenge like scenarios, but even those get boring to me quite quick. I suppose it might be for the best to just let it rest for a while
Absolutely not. If something gets added, whether that be in a paid pack or free update, it should be functional on it's own. So if we were to go with your example and they added an aspiration in a free update, but it needs a paid pack to complete said aspiration I think the aspiration should just be stuck into the pack or…
You can take out some modules, or change the settings of MCCC to suit what you like. Another way besides MCCC to have same sex couples have biological children is to go into CAS and change it so one of them can get others pregnant. I imagine if you do that the neighborhood stories would let them have biological children (I…
I don't really know what kind of world I'm looking for as far as style or size. I'm not very good with customizing the worlds and making it look good that way, that's why I'm looking for a world that already has everything included.
I was super excited for this pack so I'm really sad that it's this broken. I really hope they fix it, because this pack is so promising. I feel like if they needed more time they should have just been transparent about that instead of this whole mess of a situation.
Maybe I phrased it wrong. I don't mean how do I practically age them up, but more so at what point in their life is a good time. Like how far along are they in skills when you age them up is what I'm most interested in.
Thanks for the info. I thought it was a mood thing because that performance bar fills up really fast and she's consistently gotten promoted when that bar was full.
I hope babies at least get liberated from being a literal object so you can carry them around, go for a walk with a stroller, actually bathe them or change them on a changing table. Kind of like how they were in TS3 basically. Also 100 % agree with @musteni about teens. They feel like they're pretty much already adults…
I have two at the moment, the first is a guy living off the grid in the cottage by the waterfall in the new pack's world, though that one is soon to be a 2 sim household (unless we're counting pets in which case it already is 2 sims). The other one stays interesting because that sim is my Super Sim challenge sim so the guy…
I'm looking for awnings and pergolas that actually provide cover, so I can place plants under them and they count as being sheltered. I'm talking both awnings that can be placed on the wall, but also things like big standing awning/pergola from Get Together and Eco Lifestyle. I've googled a bunch already myself, so not…
