I’ve been a gamer for over three decades. I started playing as soon as I was able to hold a controller. Gameplay *always* comes first. If the gameplay’s lacking, what’s the point of even playing? Sure visuals are a big part of the gaming experience, but fun should never take a backseat to looks.

Low fantasy/Urban fantasy My games are usually stuffed to the brim with supernatural sims, but they're generally just trying to lead normal lives in a mundane world and coexist with humans. So, I may do punk fairies in Bridgeport or celebrity mermaids in Starlight Shores, things like that. There is a dash of sitcom mixed…
At this point I can't imagine my game without Relativity. I like to play at a very leisurely pace and being able to slow the game down makes me feel less like I'm trying to cram a bunch of activities into just a few minutes. I usually set it to 19, but I've been playing in Mermaidia a lot, and since it's a roadless world…
Lately I’ve been spending most of my simming time playing in Crowkeeper’s Mermaidia and filling it up with merfolk. I do still have a long-running save in Twinbrook that I pop into regularly, though.
I enjoy University Life for the stuff included like bowling alleys, coffee shops, and the various interactive items. But, I rarely send my sims to University unless it's part of a specific story I want to tell. It can be a bit of a hassle. (I usually just get them the honorary degree LTR.)
Aside from my Nraas mods that I can't imagine my game without (MC, Overwatch, Errortrap, Traveler, and Relativity), I also have quite a few quality of life mods. Set the Table & Call to Meal - Makes meal times so much better and more realistic…
Why have you stopped? I just couldn't get into it. I thought the gameplay was one-dimensional and lacking in deeper systems and details. I felt there was a flatness to the sims' personalities compared to previous Sims games and that bothered me. I was put off by the lack of features and in short I felt as though there…
@king_of_simcity7 , lol! I don’t use all of them because some are sooo bad, but I like the striped sequined evening gown as a career outfit for my torch singers. I’ve used the plain version of the vinyl minidress a few times and my neighborhood vamp is currently running around in a black version of the Jessica Rabbit dress…
I always play with aging off and then just use the birthday cake to age up sims when I’m ready. I just prefer to have control over my sims as I tell their stories. I tend to play my games at a very leisurely pace, so I hate the idea of feeling like I’m on some kind of time crunch.
