You forgot the part about how you "couldn't have worded/phrased/explained it any better/more clearly." That's the most effective method for substantiation of irrational opinions, and it really convinces everyone that the other participant is genuine.
I don't see it as likely to be ever since the Gurus have stated that they won't deploy/publish any features with 'caveats' and I can personally demonstrate that the product of any world editing with the existing functions of The Sims 4 engine will be nothing more than a caveat-fiesta.
They should analyze their usage and sales statistics, then consult with their artists and senior technologists to determine what would be most appealing to an ambitious audience. Contests are usually a bad idea, but I do respect the community, and that's obviously only my opinion!
I'd like to see "The Sims 4: Get Deep" expansion with a "do stuff in neighborhood" game pack. It should include only objects which walk-bys and invites can share with my active characters autonomously so that the engine can actually simulate life when I load a household and send my characters out into any given zone,…
I don't see why everyone is so resistant to scripting since it's easy to take ownership of those objects without 'modifying' anything, and the devs have provided functions which can be used to fully manage all objects in every world. I agree that an option to claim or discard paintings which aren't owned by the active…
I'm just waiting to test the new building traits and elevator functionality, and I intend to use the festival functions and situations outside of San Myshuno since I don't really care for the off-lot events after the Get Together experience. Hopefully there will be a hidden surprise which they haven't told us about yet.
There's also no reason for yearly challenges since we don't care for their "live service," or for the product to continue on it's current path for more than another year.
You should want it to sell like hotcakes since there will not be another sims if this project is discarded. No independent developer can afford the initial investment which is required to begin any project of similar scale so you can forget about competition. "if EA can downsize everything, slow the development down and…
Recycling stuff is exactly what we want them to do: New options for old interfaces, new textures for old objects, new ways to apply old functions, new capacity for old architecture... Eventually it will evolve into something that we've never considered or we'll at least be able to play it fully.
The 'draining factor' has already been described in great detail and you won't be able to discuss the subject within this forum due to the hostility toward intellectual discussion. In general, the problem is that the industry of origin is transforming and there is no longer common interest in the technological initiatives…
It's fairly easy to locate and replace the backdrops, as well as add new world objects, however, it's a lot of work to do with no official tools. It isn't likely that anyone will spend the time to convert any of the existing worlds or re-build San Myshuno. I'm sure that the devs and friendly modders will welcome your…
I usually focus on balancing comfort with functionality since there aren't enough matching textures or decor to create anything which would be considered stylish and the sims tend to remain in any area with a television. Sims need at least a 1/2 bathroom ratio, two units of walking space to any active area (which may mean…
I don't see why the engine is submitting usage statistics without my approval, and without any option to utilize origin without enabling game client connectivity. That's a bit of a violation and I don't allow my systems to submit data of any kind, apart from document requests and secured monetary transactions. I don't care…
Hopefully this helps.... The decision to not offer features such as management of NPCs, terrain sculpting, and management of world objects has nothing to do with limitations of the engine. The devs don't want to offer features which will enable casual players to accidentally ruin their data or require advanced knowledge of…
The Sims 2 remastered, minus pets and supernatural, with all of the following:* Full scripting support. * No persistent monkey bars or pirate ships. * Effective autonomy. * All objects must be functional at any position even if NPCs can't be routed (I can direct them with scripts). * No scripted or mandatory career…
They did answer you, and I believe that SimGuruEugi didn't want anyone to draw false conclusions regarding their intentions or the potential for addition of features. The interactable objects which are pre-packaged with each world, including lots, as well as those which you've placed within each world are managed instances…
Over 100k, and about ten of them post in each of the forums daily, including the non-EA communities... It's obvious that these forums serve no purpose and that the community managers don't have any good reason to continue maintaining them, apart from publishing of news and update notifications.
