Gotcha, the Legacy version of Sims 4 has been retired (announced back in November). You'll need to have a Mac running 10.11 (El Capitan) or newer that supports the Metal API to continue playing The Sims 4. Hmm, were you playing the Legacy version of The Sims 4 by chance? Can you click the Apple icon in the upper-left corner of the screen and select About This Mac. Please post everything you see there including the operating system except for the serial number.
