Thanks for your helpful suggestions. I ended up just starting up anew, after getting rid of the old games-didn't have to un and re-install, anyway. It seemed that every game and lot was corrupted-happened so fast!

I deleted the Sims 4 folder per instructions, and now the game is stuck on endless install-non functional. Did not delete the game from origin-that may be my next approach. Appreciate the help!
