Thank you for the kind words all :D . Brownguy79: Having one of your sims dedicated to gardening is certainly advisable. You can ofcourse just delete some of the plants if your household doesn't allow for that. Minraed: As noted the inside isn't furnished. Interior decorating aint one of my forte's  .
Hi there Overall a very nice build. In particular I liked the kitchen with the large window behind the sink area with the cabinets on top, as well as the split-level design. The plants on the roof are a novel idea, but keep in mind that they impair visibility when playing with characters inside. Keep up the good work! PS:…
Previous posters have alluded to the riches of writing and painting. Personally I'm also a big fan of earning money through non-career paths. Right from the start collecting metals and bugs is great for getting much-needed cash, with some items worth as much a $1500. Even without the collection helper it doesn't take long…
So my sim befriended a particular ghost, but when I go back on subsequent nights this ghost doesn't appear. Is there a pattern to the ghosts appearing in the graveyard or is it random?

Making the Arabian-style roofs are easy but requires a bit of experimentation depending on the size of the building that you want to cover. Use the domed and conical roofs on top of each other. The key is that the base for the conical one is always slightly larger. In this example I placed the domed roof across the red…
Hey TM I'm a big fan of your designs and think it's very professional. Love the bold use of orange especially. Could you possibly explain how you create the half walls used in your work please?
Lol moondrgn... To best of my knowledge you can't get jumping fish in your own pond. I read of one guy who stocked a pond with 200 fish of the same type and no luck. I know that if you want to keep the types of fish seperate from each other the ponds have to have at least 4 squares between them, otherwise the ponds…
Short tutorial on making the waterfalls is up: http://www.thesims3.com/contentDetail.html?contentId=34889 Really very easy, it's all about the customized tiles. The lot itself can be downloaded from: http://www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/details/category/sims3-lots-residential/title/The%20Celestial%20Palace/id/884631/
The sloping effect to which you refer is achieved by pressing ctrl + shift + c, and typing "constrainfloorelevation false". You can then raise or lower walls to achieve the sloping, however it gets messy real quickly and I think it requires a lot of patience and experimentation to reach an orderly effect. Probably the best…
Thanks for the advice TheZiva. However I didn't edit the package file at all. Even so it's 6.5MB, and I basically can't upload anything more that 2.5 or so, I'll get working on a tutorial for the waterfall effect.
Here are the requested floorplans. Groundfloor: 1st level : 2nd level : 3d level : 4th level : Top : Numerous attemtps to upload the lot continue to fail. It is available at the TSR website however: http://www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/details/category/sims3-lots-residential/title/The%20Celestial%20Palace/id/884631/
MarkyH: The roofs are a combination of the domed and conical types on top of each other, with the conical one being slightly bigger, and then adjusting the roof height for effect. Thanks for all the positive responses so far!
You don't necessarily have to rely on seeds for rare and special plants. These plants can be found all over town, including other residential lots. For instance I found a flame fruit plant at 433 Sunnyside boulevard (the house is next to the ocean). I believe the best fertilizers in the game are vampirefish, angelfish and…
