Unfortunately I went into live mode. I just realized it wouldn’t make a difference if I had backed up my saves and tray folder before I did the update because that’s all I made backups of. I didn’t make a backup of the entire Sims 4 folder. Not much I can do now if it does change their appearance, except not play at all…

@BlueSeaWaves I know, this game is crazy sometimes. There are two slots either side of the computer at the front and if you put any decoration in one of them the stairs stop working. Now I'm really happy I only put one object there. It made it easy to figure out at least.🤣

@GalacticGal I was just giving readers a warning since the previous chapter took so many by surprise. I felt like this might be even more surprising since I’ve never had a sim die in either story. I’m not entirely sure how to handle this sort of material, it is a little outside of my comfort zone.🙂

@GalacticGal It's not the size of the object it’s the placement. That desk has two slots on either side of the computer along the front edge. It has four or five slots along the back. The slots at the back make no difference, just the ones at the front. I didn’t try moving that plant over to the slot closest to the wall.🤔…

In the end I was able to save the desk and most everything on it. The entire problem was that little plant just to the left of the keyboard. It still amazes me, putting anything no matter how big or small in that spot causes the stairs to not work.😂

I made an interesting discovery. The desk I placed in the little nook under the stairs was causing issues. Suddenly nobody was able to use the stairs. They would just do their little wave. I was worried it was the desk and chair. I moved the chair, still no one could use the stairs. So I pulled the desk out too. Now…

If I remember correctly in November they said that there would be two EPs and at least one GP this year. So we knew there would be one quarter, maybe two, that were light on packs.
